A big let down

I was hoping for a great freaky game in the style of exmortis. It started out that way, nice erie ambient noise, slightly predicatble jump scares, development of a spooky story with well done atmospheric effects.

But then it just kinda ended, nothing really freaky ever happened, no story was really created, and it was way to short and easy.

It was going so well too :(

Asvegren responds:

Sorry to hear you were disappointed. This was our first shot at this kind of game and we've learned a lot. Hopefully the next one will be better.

pretty good

it was good stuff
scared the bajeezus out of me
would've done better if it was a tad longer
good stuff though, can't wait to see future admissions

Decent Effort

The game was pretty simple and short, and didn't require a large use of logic - rather the focus was on clicking on the right spot on the screen to get the proper items. The ending was predictable. The elements of the game were too closely ripped off of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for GC. As I was playing I kept saying, "Oh, just like in Eternal Darkness." I enjoyed the photography and the sepia tones, as well as the ambiance. The interface was intuitive so you get points there.

Asvegren responds:

Glad you caught the ED references. Among the best games ever imho.

Nice Try...

Using semiotics that are cliché, this game tries to scare the pants off you.
A nice use, however, of actionscript to allow new activities in old areas when certain perquisites have been met.
Way too short, and way too ambiguous.
It's trying to be far too 'artistic' - it should be more of a game.
Still, it's a good attempt at being something great.
Keep trying, I want to see what you've really got.

not amazing but not terrible, the scares were a bit cheap but it created atmosphere for sure. this game has potential!
