Reviews for "Get Ready To Dance {durn}"

Loved it

This was quite the epic dance song you made,i loved it's up & down pace while staying consistently intense and the quality couldn't have been better also the volume syncing was done very well, overall i really enjoyed this song and thanks for making it. =)

durn responds:

Thank you, Molotov. :) It's a lot easier to watch all my levels now that the program I use has a giant mixing board in it, definitely helps give everything it's place in the sonic spectrum. :)

Awsome to a ten

Mega Mega MEGAMAAAAN!!!!!!! props man man keep em coming i will submit all the great music as a ten

durn responds:

Hahah, damn skippy man. Thanks for the mega response!

Love it love to see a remix

I loved this song in every way. I liked the melody, the effects used. The bass, drums and piano mix was a win. I loved the starting melody but I think it faded throughout the song and after the intro we couldn't really hear it anymore. I would love to see a remix focusing on the intro melody and style.

durn responds:

I brought the intro elements back during the outro but quieted down the initial elements and brought in new ones to help differentiate it from the beginning. I find if I leave them too similar it's a little boring/repetitive. Much more fun to take the track somewhere else for the end and cause people to want to listen to the whole thing again. ;)

sigh

dun listen to him the quiet parts loosent he songs intenxity and make easier to listen to, and make it feel more thought out. other wise it would jsut be a tun of sounds strung together in the hopes that it will sound good

durn responds:

Eep, you're getting close to my creative process! I am a weaver of sounds! :d

Man.... makes me think about that classic PC game, "Loom", freaking loved that game. :D Thanks for havin' my back, arachtamis! :)

I was ready to dance...

Until I hit 1:54-2:15 when I was hit by a wall of near silence. The section you had put the quiet part was entirely unsuitable; the buildup made it seem like we were about to witness a creation of unimaginable epicness but it had dropped into nothing. It's just like stage diving and nobody catching you when you fall. The rest of the song impressed me with pure funkiness, but I still held regret at that single small part which never should have been.

durn responds:

After reading your comments and listening again, I suppose I could've taken it either way. Next track around I'll try to maintain the energy throughout. I do love my breakdowns and builds though so it'll definitely be hard for me! XD

Thanks for the honest review, sigh. :)
