Reviews for "Broken Saints Chapter 2"

hmmmmmm...

nice comic book style and some cool diction... but what the hell was that about?

What a disappointment

What the heck? Was that supposed to be artistic? The ridiculously hashed "poetic" words at the beginning made me laugh. What is this, junior high poetry class? Ooh! Artsy shit! Wow, it looks like SOMEONE knows how to use a scanner. Am I supposed to grasp some vague nihilistic sense of reality from this "movie"? All your poetical idiocy and little quasi-anime scanned sketches made for one severely lacking movie. Oh! I suppose I'm supposed to be impressed with the hacker talk in there? Or am I supposed to wow at your completely vague and ridiculous grasp of reality? And what the FUCK was that about buildings "copulating with the stars"? That's not artistic, asswipe, that's moronic.

Looking up from Chapter 1

Unlike the first chapter of Broken Saints, this episode focuses on only one of the four characters previously introduced, and as a result, tells something of a story, rather than simply flashing images. Like the first chapter, the author has still chosen to couple superb artistry with sleepy, droaning background music, a slide-show animation technique, and captions to every slide constituting character thoughts and words.

From the get go, the story opens with a dark, sexual metaphor about the fatal joy people take in cities and technology, making it hard to take the rest of the chapter seriously. Then, we watch the computer whiz, introduced in the previous chapter, lament about his life for about half of the episode, then sit at a computer for the other half. His thoughts/words are a little obtuse and metaphoric, but for the most part, he focuses on his task, making this chapter a little easier to follow than the previous. While the story does begin to unfold in this episode, it's still left entirely in the air where, exactly the series is going, the author only hinting at some huge, dark, and mysetrious conspiracy that we'd already guessed had existed after seeing the first chapter.

YAWN!!!!

Sure the graphics were good...but anyone that can scan can have exceptional graphics. Firstly I would just like to mention that it is an incredibly slow paced movie and the fact that you only have pictures fading in and out of each other doesnt introduce talent...just the fact that you know how to make a picture fade and secondly....LESS POETIC SHIT! Its obvious that you are trying to impress someone by using unnecessarily complex words.

better but not good

Same problems as the first but somehow....much better. I was drawn into the storyline...well mostly because there WAS one. Theres plenty of room for improvment. Also id rather watch 70 shorts then 25 half our vids. The vid cleared my views so next time ill watch with no stereotypes...#3 here i come

We put the fun in funerall -=Grimreaper0=-
