Reviews for "KIN trailer"

a two part trailer?

What's up with that? Well, i liked it, great graphics, not much story i can make out but some of the figures looked a bit silly (baldy with to hair strains) That's why i didn't give it a ten in style! Nothing was said in it and from the looks of it i won't be laughing my ass of in this story! (Don't get me wrong, i like it that way. )

But this is the thing with trailors!

You know when i will believe this is going to be a series????

WHEN YOU DO A REAL MOVIE AND AFTER THAT A SECOND ONE!

Then we have good chances of it being an on-going series on Newgrounds. It would be worth it! But i'm not very optimistic!

Alamus responds:

awwww... well, atleast i know how that charrie stands. some people thinks he looks badass, and others think the hair style is stupid. well, i guess his personality will just have to win the people over. hehe

but i promise you the next time I animate, its going to be an episode! I'm just trying to figure out how I want it to start.

nice graphics

I'd say nice graphics, but that's about it.

good

good, but i dont see where it could lead 2 if it was a trailer

Alamus responds:

hehe, that's the secret secret hush hush. this is to totaly confuse you until everything will be explained. >D

ugh.. always with the trailers..

Right.. so it took you eight months to make the trailer.
How long, pray tell, would a single episode take to make? And how many parts would it be in, dare I ask?

Nice work, really,
but the concept of 'trailers' on Newgrounds is such garbage.. the amount of trailers I've seen promising these awesome magnum opus's that end up never being completed, because their creators haven't quite realised that they're not a whole animation studio, is ridiculous.

Trailers are supposed to be made when the final product is finished, and are just all the impressive bits tightly cut together, not a gigantic ejaculation of effort hyping a non-existent piece. All Newgrounds trailers seem to say is "Hey, check out what I could do if I had the time, which I obviously don't."

Alamus responds:

You are aware that this was primarily made for a class that was only 11 weeks long and I had to finish this in my spare time for the span of three other quarters with three other classes in each where I had to create and finish new products for a grade, right?
So yeah, this took 8 months. Meanwhile I was doing other projects that were immediate. And this isn't just going to be a trailer for something that won't come. I have ideas as to what I'm going to do and I will get to them, I've worked on this particular series since I was in 8th grade. I'm now a senior in college...This is my loving project, I have created characters that I know all to well, and I wouldn't be able to function if I didn't get their story out... Too much of my time and energy has gone into visualizing what I created when I was just a young girl, I won't let that vision go down...

Just as Adam Phillips says he wants to make Bitey of Brakenwood a house hold name, that is also my same goal.

Its just my work will have to come out slower, so people will just have to wait. :)

impossible to do

++++ That fight scene - awesome. Fluid movement, dramatic camera sweeps...

-- I don't understand why partd go all washed-out, as if there's a translucent white sheet over it. A few moments before, the blacks are properly dark and the colours are fairly saturated. But when animations start, that suddenly changes. Why?

- The smile of the dude as he stands over her is a tad too flickering, I feel.

++ Nicely timed to music

+++ Lovely beginning. Nice use of blurring and the teasing glimpse of that sketch adds so much.

+++ Poses enough questions and gives enough clues to give no direct answers but get us all thinking. Exactly as a trailer should.

Awesome.

I watched part 1 previously and left with slight disdain. When faced with that awesome fight scene though, it's practically impossible to do so.

Alamus responds:

Yeah, I was going for a type of moonhaze...it just doesn't look as good when its the quicktime file in flash.
