Reviews for "Operation Gi-go: File 1"

liked it

That wasn't to bad. I liked it alot more than i thought i would. Keep up the good work.

Very good, keep it up.

Well, I clicked on file two, completely intent on viewing, rating, and reviewing it, untill I noticed that you said we should watch file 1 so we know whats going on. And guess what? I enjoyed the movie. I knocked on about half a point for that :) Anyway, enough with intros, lets get on to buisiness.

Graphics: Excellent! By far, these are some of the best character models I have ever seen. You depictions of decapitated men, along with your character model for Gi-go, were very good. I also enjoyed the backrounds, which were top notch! I could tell you must have spent quite a time drawing this stuff. I can't draw for beans, which is why I haven't submitted things... lol... anyway, for your great talent at drawing, I gave you a nine.

Style: Well, whaddayaknow. Good graphics, and a good animation style! Will the wonders never cease? Lol. Anyway, nice work with the animation. Some of it was kindof broken up (like your lip synching), but I think that's 'cause my computer's a piece of shit. Anyway, I liked a lot of your animation, and definately liked the smoothness of the flash overall. I liked how you made it smooth, especially for a violent flash. I appreciate your talent, and the fact that your flash didn't have the sharpness that makes my eyes bleed...

Sound: Alright, nice voice acting! Did you do all of that yourself? Because if you did, then it was some pretty good stuff! Your abiility to switch up your voice so that none of the characters sound anything like each other is uncanny, and sort of scary. However, I liked your enthusiasm, and think that overall, you did a very good job with special effects. I especially liked the gun shots, and the sound of the hellicopter.

Violence: Hmm... I usually don't like violence. I think that in today's world, there's too much of it. But since that's what this flash is mainly about, I gave it a 7. There wasn't too much, but there was a decent ammount of violence going on in there.

Overall, this was excellent, and goes great with my qoute: "Intollerance is the root of all evil" (the part where the commander says that gi-go will never fit in in the real world.)

Gi-go responds:

I'm glad you like my character models, I spent a month planning them all out before I even started making this.

Some of the lip syncing stuff badly on my computer too, I think its cause I had a scripted clock in the background. I like things smooth =)

I did all the voices except the general. I'm really picky about sound effects. I spend way too much time finding them.

I only use the violence where I saw it nessisary, I dont want it to be the main theme of these movies though.

Thank you so much for all the kind words and constructive critisism! And thanks for taking the time to write a great review!

Not bad.

Well, it's miles better than your previous stuff. The graphics are well drawn, but the animation is dodgy in places. The voices are crackly, but well acted. The story is somewhat cliché. Overall a good effort.

Gi-go responds:

As far as I know this story has NEVER been done before.

A few things I didn't like

Mainly it was the guy in charge. You'd think with an attitude like that he would be in charge of some crusty mercenary unit and not a top secret gen-modified trooper. If Gi go is so cold as to kill like that as well, why wouldn't he have killed the guy in charge and anyone he could take down with him?He doesn't want to kill but they make him. This may work itself out in further episodes though.

I find the fact that the Cerebrus building has a billboard quite cheesy as well.

Get some better sounds as well and I think you'll do alright

Wasn't too bad though.

Gi-go responds:

Well Gi-go has been made to do what he has told. He knows no other option.. untill the end of this episode anyways.

It's interesting

I like the fact that the main character, Gi-go, doesn't have a mouth. I don't know why but I really like that idea. It's an interesting approach to a lead character in an action or drama series. The action is pretty good and I can see his motives and what he wants as well as the devils blocking his path. I'm just curious, but he speaks through telekenesis right? I'm about to watch the next one, with eight months behind it I'm pretty hyped to check it out. Great work by the way!!

Gi-go responds:

Good, When I was drawing him up, I originally drew him with a mouth, but it just wasnt working. Yes he talks through telepathy.

I hope you like File 2, tell me what you think!

Thanks!
