Very Addictive...

You really did an excellent job at creating a different type of "breakout" game. The gameplay was a little slow in the beginning levels but once you hit levels like Black Heart and Defense (My favorite!) it really gets good. The different types of boxes really brings an added twist. The hidden ones were most annoying...which made the game so fun. That and the fact that you could destroy knocked out boxes as they were falling. If you ever made another, I'd only increase the ballspeed and possibly add a little sequence such as in Alleyway where the ball explodes into a mushroom cloud if you drop it. Other than that your game had alot of flare and unique style. I can definately tell you worked very hard on this project. Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see what else ya come up with.

Looks great

The visual style is excellent. I really like how you can hit a falling block for more points. And being able to juggle the white broken pieces is a nice touch. I also appreciate the ability to actually control where the ball goes based on where it hits the paddle. Most games of this type use basic, realistic bouncing physics. I always like trying to get the ball around the side and above the blocks for big combos, so this is a very satisfying tweak.

The only way it falls short is the fact that it really is just a basic breakout game. It looks great and plays very nicely, but it's a tad bland. Maybe not "power ups" like other reviewers have suggested, but it needs something to spice up the gameplay. Perhaps the ability to catch the ball on the paddle and charge it up for a high-powered shot that breaks the metal blocks? Having to aim specifically at them would be a fine challenge.

More music tracks, even set randomly, would also be nice.

As far as Break Out games are concerned this is amoungst the best.

Music is annoying and it needs power ups though. 8/10..
