Well, well...
So, there IS something good in the Portal.
The graphics were pretty good. That effect on the storm troopers was cool. The other stuff was well drawn. The animation was good, but it could have been a bit better. The explosions could have been a tad better. Nice special effects. I liked the way the text looked like the Star Wars text.
The sound was pretty good. The music fitted the theme of the movie. The storm trooper's talking effects were very well done, and the general sound effects were pretty good.
The movie was very original. The ideas for the subjects were clever. The movie seemed to have plenty of effort put into it, effort that payed off. The movie was well thought out and funny. You could have used some more blood. It was a great idea. Keep up the good work!
Ho Ho Ho
That Was A GoodOne!
Where's aggressive negotiator to restore order?
I have to admit, that's all true. If something goes wrong, what do you do? Shoot/blow it to hell. Kinda funny to see Darth Vader walking around in a Star Destroyer, see every stormtrooper at attention, watch him choke a random stormtrooper to death, make a lame excuse for killing him (ex. just cause), and everyone would go about their business as he leaves. But if a droid was malfunctioning, wouldn't the stormtrooper either shoot the droid then the Jawas or just lob a thermal detonator in between them all and create a mushroom cloud?
A refreshing look at stormtroopers
Come to think of it, this ad would only apply to stormtrooper clones, not to Tattooine farmboys or bounty hunters with thin wallets. That is, the Empire has no need to recruit people outside of its clone community because if it needs more soldiers, it can just just clone its troopers right? This ad was still funny, though!
The graphics were not impressive but they did their job representing the Star Wars characters, and since this submission is so short and involves so few sets, we don't really need a vast improvement in graphics.
The humor is fresh, though, after seeing six Star Wars movies that portray the Empire as such a villanous organization. I find myself rewatching this short film over and over when I have Star Wars on my mind just for a few chuckles. Movies like these make newgrounds worth visiting on those busy weekday evenings when I'm loaded with homework.
