Top down GTA still has its charm and you managed to get it into flash, thats awesome.
you need to fix the car dynamics and collisions pretty bad tho..

Thank you :). Yeah i know the collision detection is fine yet the collision response is fucked. This is simply because i did not have time to work on a complete rigid body dynamics engine yet, as that is what it needs :).
It was ok with some things
I think that the way the game was made was pretty good, but the graphics were pretty bad. Also try making an options screen that isn't blank on most of the tabs. With a game like this, you need to spend a bit more time on it. Better luck next time.

Dude there is already a lot of time put into it and its more than you can see code wise. The graphics are temporary... better luck next time? Its the only gta game that ever got this far. Get it - THE ONE -?

visualy it looks almost identical to the real game! keep it up and i look forward to seein the full version of the game! obviously this copy has gotta go - as it doesnt really work...

Thanks, the textures are merely temporary and might look far more polished once its in a more advanced state of development.

the girls screaming got annoying and random cars would appear on grass, cars would drive onto the grass for no reason, there weren't any taxis to jack, and you couldn't even jack regular cars. do better on the beta version

Sorry but you can turn the sound off, its an alpha version and i never said there are no bugs. The taxis are there, they are yellow cars, you just need to try out... it aint that hard finding a taxi as in reallife... And you can change the key's for the controls. Default key for entering cars is ENTER, you have to be close enough and chose a car that is slow or braking.

Not bad, not bad. I suggest better graphics (those cars... eh) and just an over-all better presentation. This could get on the Top 50 with better graphics, obviously done, and mission things.

Thank you, i am sorry for the sad graphics but i am more the programmer type of guy. And you can guess how much work such an engine is already without having to make textures ect. :) Therefore it will also take a while until it reaches beta level. But now flash 8 is here which changed a lot for the engine. This is actually not fully representing the current game state anymore...
