I think no one will disagree when I say that I'm impressed that this is flash. However, virtuosity is not identical to quality. Many of the things that make GTA2 fun are missing (although obviously you are working on it still), and some critical game play factors are absent or faulty (when I hit a car at full speed, I expect that car to rebound, and I need to see flames before I trash my car, just dieing is uncool). I am reminded of Samuel Johnson's description of a dog walking on its hind legs: that it is impressive that it is done at all, not that it is done well. This is done, and that is impressive. But done well...you've got your work cut out for you. But just getting this far, that suggests that you've got what it takes.

Yeah i know what you expected with the flames since i played all gta's so far.. the quality is not very impressive as from the visual site so far. The big problem is when your working on something big alone you have to work here and there and you cant work everywhere.. . ^^

Lame game

I am really happy someone actually has made a game of GTA in flash but I am not happy with the results. Try to work more on the graphics.

Very nice!

i like this! it is certainly somthing to work from!

Pros: *I loved the car explosion effect!
*Great driving script, and so forth with the script.
*3d buildings, and variety cars even in the alpha are incredible effects!

Cons: *weapons are im assuming still in beggining stage but you should make a large weapon variety.
*Blood effect needs work.
*Characters need some art touch-ups
*lower the exhaust color to a more see throug color.

P.s. I know that this is in the alpha stages, these are just comments on your work so far i have no idea what you still have in mind....

Thank you very much for the nice words and constructive feedback!
I will have to redo several particle effects including the explosions. Also all sprites will probably change and the map graphics ect. But trust me its a huge pile of work :).

pretty bad

this game, was really bad. i dont' care about the fact that's it's a remake, and it's pretty cool that u made it into a flash, but it's a really crappy ass remake. the graphics are bad, the people scream for no reason, the bullets are bigger than the people. and they dont' even freakin hit. i couldnt' kill anything. sorry it was just really bad, u really need to work harder on this.

Thats why i am still working on it :). The graphics do not represent the game but only are there to demonstrate the engine.

Nice copyright infringement a-hole. Why don't you go plagerize some other majorly popular game? Try to do something more original and put some more effort into making it user friendly. Have a nice day.

Nice iq! All the art was done by me and the gameplay is not the exact same as in gta. Therefore there should not be any copyright infringement. Why can't you even say that polite if you have something to say? There is no need for swearing. You try to do something close to it! And then you can try to do it original. Alphas are usually not very userfriendly either... have a nice day too!
