Reviews for "The History of Animation"

Excellent! (Guitar playing!)

That was sweet educational flash on Animaiton itself! I love how you done your research on importance and history of animation and how they affect our craving for cartoon in all of its splendor!

Voices are very nice, its mood match the quality and seriousness of educational flash. You got some of materials and sources pretty well and correct, but where Spongebob? This cartoon revolutionized animation in term of humos, exaggerated emotions, and innovated settings, slangs/puns/terms, and characters. And Pokemon? They made it cultural hit cause it based on video game and follow it structure very well, plus brand new anime humor that floored me down, laughing my ass off (only other cartoon based on video game that good is Earthworm Jim!) Oh well, at least you covered all other of my favorite cartoons (Ren & Stimpy, Rocko, Tom & Jerry: all are classics cartoon not to be missed!)

This will defenitly go into my Favorite for future use! Nice Job.
By the way, who is this brown/tan furry guy/creature? Is his name Cybren? Is he your soul? What make him special? I wish to know cause I have animal soul inside of me in form of Lizard.... Please explain that character to me soon..... I like the design and originality of this character with cool shadow effects and stylized ears of his.

Anyway, I give you 4/5 for educational fun!

-Avek Vaer the Fire Lizard (I am red and have NO FUR!)

cyberen responds:

Spongebob has already been overexposed by the media, I think, so its presence here is unnecessary. And as for Pokemon, I've never watched a whole episode, so I don't know if it qualifies as one of the "great" cartoons over the years.

The orange furry creature is Cyberen, I use him as my online persona (because showing your picture and real name on the internet is dumb) and as its own character. I'll definitely be doing more with him in the future. He's special cause I like him. He's not any real animal, so I can't be a furry. Which is good. Perhaps you're onto something, by giving cyberen some of my attributes to make him more well-rounded as a character, perhaps he is in connection with my being. Or perhaps that's only for writings' sakes. I'm atheist.

thanks for the long and interesting review, Avek!

I GOT A 5 I GOT A 5

Nice one...

Never seen that in a flash before.
First off, congrats on the daily 2nd, it did well to get there.

Very informative, although I'd of gone on a bit more of stop frame animation, simply because it's great.

Having lived in Italy, I can tell you that it has the biggest animation histort section (or something of the sort), and is held in "The Mole" in Turin (where i used to live), and all those stephiscopes and spinny things (professional term there :P) can be found there.

Congrats, i love this flash.

Informative yet unpolished.

Now I find such a history lesson quite informative and my medula can lift 20 pounds. However I found the art and voices to be suspect, particulary the off-sinc VO. Then again it's not like it's a real "Flashtoon". Merely one of those documentaries done at a collage grade level. I give 8 repeated backgrounds out of 10.

cyberen responds:

ADR is a killer.

(additional dialogue recording)

Very informative, cleverly delivered

I hope you got an A for this in your class, i was impressed as hell. You seemed to have all of your facts in order, i definitely learned a shitload. Lol i totally loved the part where the cartoon character learned the futility of his existence... good humor right there. Cool beans man you got what you deserved(front page) on this one.

cyberen responds:

Frigid Frijoles, batman! I impressed mister steve!
