Good Graphics Do Not Make A Good Game...

OK, I give this game credit for the graphics, which are very well done, the play control and game play were a bit too average. The sound was crap, no sound effects and an average musical loop that sort of fit but grew dull over time. I ignored the fact that this game is a thinly veiled advertisement and did not factor that into the review. As for what happens when you die in the game, that was actually kind of funny. The game became boring after a few minutes.

Sounds like a bad game to me. The sound is particularly annoying. The gameplay is just horrible. There is nothing spectacular. Everything is just average and look like no creativity at all. For a game about music, this is pretty crappy...

"Super Mario Bros" has more style.

One word to describe it: Average
One sentence to describe it: Average attempt at a company to market their product on a popular medium.

The controls are well laid out, but follow far too much into the groove of other platformers. As is the story "Go through a bunch of levels, get points, finish level, go to next, and try to get the high score." I would've liked to see something at least unique in the fighting... Stealth, or NPCs that you could chat to, to bargain your way past; then stab them in the back.

The main character, the enemies, and the background enviroment ARE well drawn and animated, however, the overall style is COMPLETELY ... Unstylish. Each level is just a clone of the previous one. There's nothing outstanding, which shows that one level is unique from another. It's all "run around a completely unbeliveable enviroment and do things" The sound is nice, but the repetativeness is absolutely insane.

Interactivity and Violence is a 10 since it's a game, and you're blowing things up and cutting them down, but it isn't really funny at any point.

Moral of the story: Games which are made to market a product are GIMMICKS. See, GIMMICKS are are things which have some sort of trap or hook, which try to catch the player and make them do something like look at a ad, or be brainwashed by subliminal messages of "BUY A WALKMAN"

Stop making gimmicks, and start making good flashes, elsewise the tenancy of your flash games on Newgrounds will be short lived. VERY short indeed.

game design was simplistic, same for the
enviroments and characters. though it was
nicely rendered and music was fine. just
dont expect anything more then a bland,
basic platformer; with clear intentions to
promote the new walkman, then to be a
actual, entertaining, flash game. simply
put, its no different then the ads you see
on the banners of websites.
