Reviews for "MH16: All I Want"

Wow!

It was great! one of your better works! I can see you're getting better! You used chords! yay! nice job MH! loved it! At the beginning the strings sounded like the frosty the snowman song for the first 6 seconds! I loved it! gr8 job!

FairSquare responds:

Haha, this is not the first time i use chords. Actually, i use chords all the time only not on the same instrument :P
And i never heard the Frosty the snowman song, but i guess i can see that as a compliment :P
Thanks for the review!

Ps, why do you end all your sentences in your review with an exclamation mark? :P

Wow...

Yes, i'd have to say that knowing Gravey, his reviews are always helpful. You really did well on this song, i love how it flows along, almost like a small stream or something... the piano is really good, it has some great melodies. The strings are good, they don't over-power and they sound very smooth! The drums are good, they sound a little rough to me, but it could totally just be me! I also like that flute type instrument that comes in, it has a nice melody and it really ties the song together.

This was very well done! Keep going, Mr. Musicality! ;)

10/10 and 5/5. Nice work!

FairSquare responds:

Yes, Gravey is a very helpful person :-)
And the picture of a small stream that flows along is pretty cool ^^
Well, thanks for the review. And i laughed at Mr. Musicality :P

very nice piano

also very, very calming. hmm..dont know what else to say. 10/10, 5/5, faved, adn downaloaded.

it's really great to see you're still making music.

FairSquare responds:

I will always keep making music :-)
Thanks for the review!

The piano is very nice

But the first part sounds alittle bit random. When the drums kicked in - it sounded really clear and dynamic. Nice little piece you got here - just a bad day to submit >:)
Helth 5/5 9.2/10

FairSquare responds:

Nah, i don't really care about getting to the top 5. And maybe i could've replaced some notes in the beginning part, but i don't really think it sounds random :P
Anyway, thanks for the review! :-)

Nice...

I love the piano. But there is one thing I would like to point out. It sounds like you are playing full chords in the left hand. This can really bog down the music if you are so heavy in the left hand. I recommend keeping the left hand chords simpler. Instead of having full chords hit on the downbeat all the time, roll them a little instead. It will really help out a lot.

Now in the beginning I like the block chords for an intro. It sets a very somber tone for the song, and prepares the listener for what is to come. But when the song really kicks in I would roll the chords or simply simplify them. It just bogs down the song is all. Especially a lighter song like this.

Other than that slight issue this is very well written. I love when the pan flute comes in. It has a great sound, and really propels the song along nicely. It also adds a new dimension to the mix, which can do wonders for any tune.

The percussion was very appropriate. Nothing mind blowing, but completely appropriate. You did a good job mixing the percussion in with the rest of the song, and not overpowering the piece.

The strings were a nice touch. Although, they didn't seem like they were the best sounding strings for this song. I'm not sure, but I felt that something a bit duller and warmer would have been better for this song. But for the most part, the strings were a nice addition to an already solid piano piece.

5/5 and 9/10 overall. Nice work here my friend. :-)
