How can you tease us like this!!??
The animation style reminded me a lot of Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop, and the character syles were very nice. I just wish it was longer... Still though, if you're going to continue this, I've not a doubt that it will be one of the best animated things on Newgrounds. Story and voice acting, a bit subpar though. But don't let that discourage you. Great, awsome, fantastic job.

Dude, do you know how to spell assassinate? its not ASSINATE. so you get a 5 for humor. assinate....what a retard. I didn't really care for the graphics, they definately could have been better. And you probably traced alot of it anyways. That one dude DOES resemble Spike Spiegel. The story (if there was one) sucked. And yeah, I just didn't like it, but it did look like you put some effort into it so you get 8.

this is the best submission i've seen in a while if not at all. It was very cool Samurai CHamploo art style wich I love and the charcters were very orginal. In my opinion this should be rated much higher and I cant wait for the next episode.
Awesome first episode
Well I think this stands a good chance to win the daily feature. I'm glad to see another excellent series here on NG and I'm very interested in the next episodes. I hope they'll come out soon, but not too soon cause they wouldn't be so good as this one maybe. Anyway, some explanation about the ratings.
Graphics: Excellent graphics. I don't think they could get any better. The rain looked very realistic, the characters were very well drawn, the backgrounds looked good, I'd say 10 out of 10. Style: I really liked the drawingstyle in this, 9 out of 10. Sound: The sounds were very good, the music suited the movie well and the voice-acting was awesome. I have to say that these were the best voices I've ever heard for these kind of movies. I liked the wolf clan leaders voice (or whatever that guy was, you know who I mean). Sounds, 9 out of 10. Violence: Some blood, but not really a big fight. I didn't really understood what was going on when the screen turned black and white, but I guess the monk got attacked by that wolf guy. Well it was good that there was not only talking, but also some action in the first episode, even if it wasn't much. I'll give it 7 out of 10. Interactivity: Just a play button. You could add a menuscreen where you can put a button to view the credits, a scene selection would also be nice and maybe a button to change the quality. 2 out of 10 (I would gave it 5 out of 10 if it had all that I mentioned above, still not much, but it's a movie not a game). Humor: Well I don't think this was supposed to be a funny movie and I don't think there will be any humor in the next episodes. 0 out of 10.
Overall I'd give this submission 9 out of 10, 4 out of 5. Like I said, I wouldn't be suprised if this won the daily feature and maybe it could win a weekly fourth or fifth, but I think there will be more movies this week that will have a score of over 4.09 so I'm not sure about that. Anyway, keep up the excellent work and good luck with making the rest of the series.
