very nice animation. really good drawings in this one... especially in the pre-loader. very impressive. you got some awesome drawing talent, glad to see you win the daily 5th and hope to see some more work from you.
Good beginning...
When I started watching this one, I expected more action nearer the beginning. But as the scenes slowly scrolled by, I settled in for a good tale, smiling to myself for the change of pace. Turns out that there was some action after all.
And that's where it became disappointing. Even though the action here is rather good, it simply does not compare to XiaoXiao or to Madness Combat. Granted, the fighting here is necessarily more stylized and symbolic, but truthfully, I think the influences battled with each other instead of being allowed to coexist to give birth to something more of a complete mythos. Which, in reality, this has the potential to have. But whatever inner powers these fighters have, with so much atmosphere, which is the beast part about this piece, the climax for these characters needs to be more impressive than what you've shown thus far, either dramatically with better timed "mie", or with more impressive and more appropriately scaled blows and maneuvers, depending on the story behind the fight.
