Reviews for "initial d: timed stage"

i like it

well where can i begin, this game is a racing 2-D game. With only one track, you have simple controls and then awy you go, try and beat the clock.

GRAPHICS

Well, everything is in the top down mode, 2-D like the retro games of days gone by. For some graphics are everything, sadly if you that type, you ain't getting naught, just plian and simple, just the way its supposed to be forthis genre of gaming.

HANDLING

Driving, can be hard, on this game, its like you are driving a car wih square wheels. Handling is terrible. However, if you can get past the jerky control, you find a challnging game with some potential.

PLAYABILITY

Not much to say, one track, no add ons, just one track on time trial and a practcise mode, could have be done better.

Score 6/10

Good game but too short, clunky controls, back to the drawing board for this game.

i tried to make it difficult, but i didnt think the controls were THAT clunky. ill admit that at 12fps, i had to make the turning a bit blocky, but i think that the controls are pretty managable.

i appreciate the good review tho. and my next submission will hopefully please all you naysayers and fans of "drift racing".

wow.... but still not amazing enough...

i admit being an initial d fan but i know this is also your first try. one thing i like to offer you is that you should have the car drift. basicly in your recent flash, the hachi-roku, trueno, or corolla 86 GTS, is just grip driving. doesnt seem so surprising for a FR car to do that so well. maybe a 4WD corolla... but other wise your game is good. also your course is rather a circut than a mountain road... please extend it more.... i would like to see more of your work.

authorblues responds:

if i had been able to properly program a drift system, believe me... it would be in there. but it was glitching. just wait til my next submission. i hope that will sway your opinions.

It's nice

but I beated you in my first try, it's not that hard :)

authorblues responds:

congrats! you should have posted your time. i like seeing how well others do.

Pretty cool

except i whooped ur ass my best time was 95.2 loser!

authorblues responds:

well, thats really impressive. the only problem is that my fastest lap (without hitting walls and going 120kmph without slowing down at all) is 32.9s. if you triple that, its 98.7sec. i have trouble believing that there is a way to beat THAT time.

THis was a great game

THis was a very nice game I loved it. Please make another one.

authorblues responds:

i hope to soon. it will have a better game engine with realistic car physics. maybe manual transmission... oooh, thatd be fun.
