Reviews for "GreenCastle: DoubleExodus"

Good Game

I only have Kyle and Kris right now. I just got done defeating Stehra that one snake haired woman, and now I am in Arette trying to find the black key. You said something about the library basement for the location in another review and well I know where it is but not how to get to it. How to I get to it? I noticed that I could pick up the books and was wondering if that had anything to do with it?

GreenCastle responds:

Ah yes... the Psalm 23 puzzle.

Here's how you do it. You have to pick up the books in the order in which their titles appear in Psalm 23. Start out by touching 'Green Pastures' then 'Still Waters' then 'Shadow of Death' etc.

If you fluff it up, leave the room and come back. The books will be reset.

Pretty good, but....

There was some unclarity about exactly what to do. I gotten a good ways through the game(i think) but i cant the red key. I also cant find the second bishop(behind the red gate?). Although even with all the shortcomings(the control) it was a very good game. Good job.

GreenCastle responds:

You won't find the Red Key until you're about 75% through the game. Just go with the flow of the story.

The 'second bishop' is in Cantatey Castle. You won't need the Red Key to get there, but you will need a Pass.

Good, not exactly th best, but still nice.

Well, I like the concept of using chess pieces. But, it is quite tiring to use the mouse for moving (it is better if the arrow keys are used). Also, it is a bit slow, in battle and in exploring

BTW, is it possible that you will have more than 2 partners? I notice that in GC's House there is a knight and a bishop. I wonder what they really mean?

GreenCastle responds:

Yes. You will have more than 2 partners, but only 2 can be in your fighting party at once.

See my response to the previous review about the knight and bishop icons on the floor in GC's House.

See my response to Sketch_Michaels about the movement issue.

Very good game!

The engine is fantastic. I only have two questions though.
1. What are the pictures on the floor of GC's home for?
2. What is the seal in the Eagle castle that has an unearthly feel for?

GreenCastle responds:

1. The pictures on the floor of GC's home tell you if there are any Knights or Bishops staying at GC's house currently. The Bishop icon will light up if there is a Bishop present, etc. This is so you don't have to run to either end of the house every time to see where your allies are.
2. Can't tell you what the seal in Eagle Palace is for, you'll find out on your own later in the game!

Actually, you could probably figure it out if you read all the reviews. Oh well.

Great game...

This is an excellent game, but I can't figure out where the manor is. I just killed the guy in the kingdom. I thought it had something to do with the lantern, but that hasn't really helped me any. I have all 4 of the other characters, but I'm stuck for now.
The only suggestion I have is to make it possible to turn off the sound. The effects are nice, but it's a long game, so they get repetitive.

GreenCastle responds:

Houndsor Manor is north of Port Town. It is the area where you opened the Black Gate.
