Reviews for "GreenCastle: DoubleExodus"

Alright

But it takes to long to level up from the beginning and, since you have to be at the next level to make it past the next part, gameplay is slowed down considerably and becomes repetitive early on. My advice would be to increase the amount of experience points you gain, at least for the first few levels, so things progress faster and keep feeling fresh.

this is a good game

this one of the best rpg games i played on newgrounds

Overwhelming!

Warm and relaxing music and graphics, and based on exploring (I love it!), and choosing stats to upgrade, equipment to wield... And old-fashioned! I like that kind of stuff.
But, you definitely should to replace arrow keys on the screen with WASD or arrow keys of keyboard.

i think i need a bath after play that

this game was so bad it made me feel horrible it felt out of date the sound was bad it look out of date too it even tasted bad made me feel sick... and why a castle? what the hell! also clicking arrows? what happend to the w,a,s,d thing or arrow keys? really this is just everything that a flash shouldnt be like

could be great.....

i am going to be frank, this game as one fatal flaw which will make me never play it again, and it's the atrocious save system. You can only save in a handful of places, and if you get to certain spots of the game, (coast town), there ISNT A SAVE, and you can't back-track because a really tough boss battle is in the way of you and the save. The only choice you have is to attempt the beat the next part with no chance of saving, which takes hours of leveling up, not to mention it is INCREDIBLY difficult. oh, and if you die, the last 2 hours you put into the game is lost!

Instead of having a save system, WHEN YOU DIE YOU START AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CURRENT MAP YOU ARE IN! Every RPG has a save spot in every map, so why doesn't this? I have played this game 6 times now, and every time I die in the mansion due to a lucky hit, or the power going out, or whatever other bull$%#@ reason there is. That is why instead of a 9 or 10 it only gets a 7.

GreenCastle responds:

Actually there is a save in Port Town, it's in the upper right. Sorry about your difficulties, I made this game a long time ago and all your other criticisms are valid ones. Thanks for writing. Will try again sometime...
