Reviews for "The Judgement (Pinard)"

awesome!

Just great! really nice vibe and epic sound. Really nice when the drums kick in and the heavy guitar chords... there's only a weird thing that kinda hit me in the face... The crashes arround 2:02 sound just awefull... really bad... and weirdly timed... thats the only thing I noticed... and ofcourse the lack of quality... but thats just mp3 ^^
Cya!!

Just so you know...

While it's true that your first reviews will probably be people trying to jump on you, tell you that you suck, they're not the ones that matter. The people who support you, give you positive but truthful reviews, and maybe some creative criticism, like Evil-Dog and Bahamut0ne, they're the ones that matter.

Anyway, beautiful piece. It sort of echoes the soundtracks of the 90s, not a bad thing as those soundtracks are some of my favorites, but I can still see your influence running rampant throughout this piece, taking every part, every note, every bar to that much of a higher level. 5/5 and 10/10. You're favorited here, and this song is making it on my list, too.

nathanallenpinard responds:

Yes, the soundtrack does sound 90's based, especially with Bruckheimer films in mind. I don't really care about bad reviews, as they are the ones that I can repond too without just saying "Thanks" and that's it.

People that zero-bomb and not leave one comment irritate me though. Voting should require a review in my opinion.

Awesome song!

I totally agree with Evil-Dog: newgrounds isn't a battle to see who can write the best music/ make the best flash. newgrounds is a place where anyone can show what they've made to the world. Just because this is what you for a living doesn't mean you don't belong here. If you like newgrounds, then stay here. If you don't, it's your decision whether or not to leave.

Matters here are not about studio

I love the effects man, and the ending parts. VOTE 5 FOR THIS ONE MAN. MAKE IT THE BEST TRACK OF THE WEEK.

Music is not depend on good or bad studio, if somebody was saying about limited money then get your ass off the chair and find a work to make your own studio.

I started to compose music with only an old keyboard from my aunt. Did it a f''king problem for good music huh? And now I am a musician composes tons of TV advertise' soundtrack. Does it still a damn problem now?

Yeah, do I need a big studio look like Hans Zimmer's recording room? I know what were you doing, trying to make yourself standout at the first day at NG. Watch your move.

nathanallenpinard responds:

Ok, just so you know. It's amazingly hard to get a job now. So the lazyness factor doesn't come in with equipment.

However, I wlil say experiment, and don't rush work. I sometimes really wish something was done right then and there, but my angle is I don't accept it to be done until it can't be improved anymore in any possible way without buying new stuff or hiring an orchestra.

Well done

I like it because it has a moving feel at the beginning but its not hurried. You move into the quick section well. I especially like the inclusion of a distorted guitar. The chords really fill the sound.

The crash cymbal samples sound fake though. Thats my only problem.

You said you made this for a family play. Do you mean stage play?

Also, what software do you use? Im looking to upgrade from what I'm currently using and I would like to know what you are.
