Reviews for "Tinman"

uhhh...

It seems like the same sort of thing as this:

h t t p : / /w w w.d e s p a i r . c o m / h a p p y p r o d u c t . h t m l

(remove spaces)

As if that's what you were trying to make.

Brad

BlackmarketKraig responds:

I checked out your link... and I remembered having seen More a long time ago.

Now that you mentioned it they are similar pieces, but while (if I remember correctly) the charater in More escapes his desparate existance by building a hallucinigenic-like device and creates a world dependant on his technology, here it's just a robot who wants to know what it's like to have emotion and winds up rather dissatisfied with the results.

Thanks for reviewing!

Nice Work

Actually this was pretty depressing, but I enjoyed it, it was a cool concept, and I felt the audio fit really well. The words flashing on the screen were kind of cliche, I know what you were going for and think you achieved it, but maybe something else could have been used to represent the words...

Well good job, I'm definitely going to check out your other works.

BlackmarketKraig responds:

Yeah, I have to agree with all the reviewers who have suggested that using images or animation instead of flashing words would have been a better choice... oh well.

Thanks for reviewing and for the great score!

another magnificent flash by blackmarketkraig!!

wonderful, this should also win an oscar!!

BlackmarketKraig responds:

Haha! What a very sweet thing to say (again)...

Thanks for reviewing!

hmmm

If he was a robot he would not have an artificial intelligence and thusly would not "think" about having emotions.

The fact that the robot is so depressed prior to having his "heart" is completely falicious because a robot CANNOT BE DEPRESSED. He also CANNOT BE CURIOUS because curiosity itself is an emotion. The whole thing just doesn't make sense.

Anyways as for installing the heart then smashing it on the ground, where'd that come from? I'd easily say the majority of humans relish in their ability to "feel." Don't quite see why the robot wouldn't cherish it as well.

On top of that, this idea is old. Can't give you higher than a three.

BlackmarketKraig responds:

I'm, sorry you didn't like it professor. But you can't please everyone, right?

Of course there are no robots with artificial intelligence walking around the streets picking up trash and building stuff with it. But if there were isn't it also possible that they would be aware that they are missing something.

As to disliking what it actually means to have emotion, all I can say is that a lot of the time I wish I didn't... life would be simpler.

Thanks for reviewing.

Nice..

Nice espicially the music in the back grounf it totally made the atmosphere !!

BlackmarketKraig responds:

Thank you!

I had a basic concept but I couldn't quite figure out what music to use... it came together in my head while I was listening to this piece, though.

Thanks for reviewing and for the 10!
