Reviews for "VG Wars: Episode #1"

Yuck

Try holding off from submitting to Newgrounds until you can make something decent. The pieces didn't fit together, it was too slow paced, and the animation sucked. Try cleaning it up.

I see potential

I think you can do some good stuff along this thread... but there are some things you need to do to make it better.
First and foremost... please, please, PLEASE make it faster! It seemed like all I was doing the entire time was waiting for the next speech bubble or fight move to come... WAY too slow paced. Also, pay a little more attention to details... ie. make sure and capitalize Mario, make sure Luigi's blue beam thingy goes in front of the Toads, not behind; and if a row of boxes is falling, make sure it falls all the way, not stop kind of crooked in mid-air. On the whole, though, I think you've got some potential with this idea.

Well now.....

I think that this was at most a watchable flash, even though I didnt watch it the whole way through. There wasnt that much graphics that made it entertaining. Mario sorta did the whole rise and levetation thing. Over all I didnt like it, sorry.

It was ok

Over all it was a average movie. for a biginner it was good. try doing a differtent plot though. the whole mario fight thing was milked dry awhile ago. the sound wasnt too good, and the fighting could have been smoother. So me here a X-play give this flash a 3 out of 5.
hoping your flash dosent get blammed, ~Robo_Ken

Some suggestions

Here's some suggestions

1. We need a load bar. Something that tells us when the animation is done loading.

2. What the last guy said, the sprites make the animation slow, no matter what compt your using and quality setting.

3. The was really basic. It was like "I hit you, now its your turn to hit me" They weren't smooth in the movements and didn't try to dodge. Once their "turn" is over, keep them moving, don't have them sit idley by while the counterperson is making a move on them.

I liked the music and everything, but you do need to fix these things up. I'm sure there are more things, and others will tell you as well. Good luck.
