I will apologize to those who are in despreate need for their saturday morning cartoon shows, this isnt pokemon, sorry fellas. i enjoyed it, I will be first to say however, that with your in-depth analogies to the inner workings of memory and the mind in general bring about many questions, each really without answer. In other words I believe your analogies in this were detached from substance, rather pointless and lacking meaning. The story however, GRIPPING!! and the art work, astounding, kudos, kudos. An astounding effort indeed, I loved it! I am also curious, I was a bit thrown at first when it was mentioned that the monks neclace was that of a string of sorrow, filled with jewles of joy? Is this a metaphor? Or is it acutally the articles meaning, or is it also lacking substance? I hope not. I am however taken back by your style, its intense, and your writer does an outstanding job. Keep it up please!
Not for the simple minded
Pretty good submission although you should probably give it a little more emotion, perhaps more music, the music is good, but it can become boring. Pretty good twist to alot of the shit you can find in here, the previous review obviously like action, and only action. Pretty good friend, keep it up. a word for the early reviews, Go wath CNN or sumthin, this isn't for you. ; )
Loved it.
I personally disagree with Galathan-sure, it might have been a bit slow for some people, but it was fine for me because it gave me time to really analyze what it was saying. It was interesting and kept my attention, especially with the terrific art and music. Another great Broken Saints :D I'm off to watch Act 2 now!
Divided between the graphics and the script
there is a division between the Art, and the script that has existed since the beginning of Kamiyama's entrance into the story. A student who closely follows the logic of this script will become lost.
Just as lost as one who reads some of the previous intro quotes and expects them to give understanding to the upcoming story segment. In this case, with this segment I find that the art and the quotes work together as far as images. But for the hope of illumination of the story of Kamiyama's history...it confuses me. Someone please explain the connection between the intro quotes and insights into the meaning of this segment. I have an intuition of the vague idea being sketched...but it still should have gotten a critical review by someone without assumptions... a professional reviewer, one with video and script experience...However I am more interested in the mechanics of this series.
