best song ever

your god at making songs

I was absolutely blown away!
I first heard one of your pieces playing Raze 2, "Rising Legend" if I recall correctly. I had never heard such an impressive piece of music on a flash game before. Naturally, I proceeded to check out what else you had written. When I found your profile, I hit the mother lode! All of your work is pretty good, and quite a few pieces (this one included) are truly great.

You really have perfected the art of telling a story through music. The percussion that banging away in the background throughout the piece gives the impression of an army on the march. The haunting vocals from 0:20-0:45 evoke images of women wailing as their husbands march off to an uncertain fate. The march continues with a steely resolve until 1:17, at which point the music switches to a darker theme. The enemy has been met! The chords from there on become imposing, intense. Feats of courage are clearly being done, and yet there is always a hint of uncertainty. A new theme is ushered in with a cymbal-sounding bit at 1:47. The tension from the preceding theme is resolved. The battle is won, but the percussion continues to the end, making the listener wonder whether or not the war has also been won.

Hats off to you, sir! And please do all of us a favor: keep writing music!! ;)
