great game. graphics have never been the most important thing to me, and i like the retro style. there are few games like this on NG, there should be more. only two things i think you might improve:
more sound effects?
and the music loops got annoying after a while.

Thanks CyberLemming; the 4 songs in the game are good, but they are very short loops (< 1 minute)... Pixelville 2 will have longer loops on the soundtrack.
Good call on the graphics; Pixelville looks exactly like I wanted it to look - like a ZX spectrum game.
Sequel should be out soon(ish!)

i liked the game, thought it was fun and interactive, most definately, but i got stuck in it.........couldnt figure out how to get the oil..

For the oil you need to buy the land and drill for it... Miner Willy needs something to wipe his helmet lamp first though...

i couldnt find everything and the hints sucked and it was also to family friendly, but the interactivity was excellent so i will give it that. more violence and mild nudity and explicit language would be good. oh and will you please resolve the contest?
Violence, nudity and swearing would be pointless in this type of game - Monkey Island didn't need it. My other games are more violent if that's what you're into.
I'm not sure what you mean by resolve the contest... You need to upgrade your sprite to be multicoloured by visiting the professor to win the contest.

Hey i loved the game but i only found one problem and your hints didnt help either. I found where the stick and jar and everything was but i couldnt find the drill. I know that i need to ask the miner but i didnt know how to get his hat clean. i thought of using the jar and the well to get water to clean but it said "that doesnt work" and i tried the same with the sink in the gents bathroom. So i was wondering if you can help me out here? But otherwise great job and i cant wait for the sequel!

great game... I got a little lost with the whole donkey thing and then the drill =S who knew tp could help so much lol anyways can't wait until the sequel and next time I won't even cheat a little or take breaks in between ^-^
