Nice work

Well done - but bring your master volume down, its clipping to hell.

Moltov responds:

Yeah, I noticed, it sounded fine in my speakers but I will make sure of that next time.

On the Right Track

I really enjoy the melody and the structure of the piece so far. The only issue I have is a lack of a solid drum beat in the background. I'm a drummer, and this really irks me when the samples in the background can't seem to keep a beat together.

I would try to make the beat simpler, or at least clean it up so that the snare at least comes in on beat 2 and 4 consistently, barring any razzmatazz you throw in as fills.

Once you do that I think you could even bring the drums out a little, as in make them a little louder. Then I'd give you at least a 9, probably a 10.

I'm still voting teh fyyve, though.

Moltov responds:

I will keep your words in mind =].
thanks,
-Moltov

Better than Average

You did a pretty good job making this. I'm not sure how this relates to Donkey Kong though. The beats were good, but not so well in Replay. You could have also extended the song to play a bit longer, with a bit more in beats.
Good job, non-the-less

Moltov responds:

Thanksssss for rev,

Hmm....

It's okay, but there's no tension and release. It's just gogogogogo. It's nice in the middle of a properly formed song (in fact, it's even better in the middle of a properly formed song). But a song formed 100% of it is just not...good.

Sorry for the bad review, but don't take it too hard.

Also, how do you use *a* MIDI? MIDI is a way to interface with different instruments and controllers, not a type of thing you can use on its own (like *a* car, *a* street, but not *a* gasoline).

Moltov responds:

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about in the beginning.
As for the midi, I took the tune from the midi file and put bass to it and tweaked it. Therefore I used a midi.

ahhhhh!

Clipping/Distortion ruined it. Check make sure you don't go over 0 db. put a limiter on your master mixer channel for starters. Then compress a bunch of stuff. THen it will be much better and listenable.
