Reviews for "Punch Out: Chapter One"

That was great.

Old school 8-bit nintendo man that was a genius of an idea. thanx for sharin a great submission.

solid

The FF7 music really tied in with the concept of your movie. Nice touch on the whole duck hunt accident shooting. My only complaint would be the 10 year jail sentance for weed and if he went in jail in 1985 it would be 19 years and not 11. Overall great movie can't wait till the sequel.

AngelnX responds:

Well i guess you did miss some stuff. In the beginning, it said, "for the next three years, he becamse an instant star." and if you also look at the first newspaper, the date reads "May 8, 1993." but anyways, thanks for the compliment. I hope you see it more clearly of what I'm talking about.

Please accept my apology...

I was one of the ones who had blammed you before...

I will be the first to say.. that was simply AMAZING. I'm impressed.

Congrats.

AngelnX responds:

WELL....WELL...WELL...sorry to do that LOL hardly anyone believed that this movie is going to be good, hopefully a blockbuster hit. And I will say that yes I do accept your apology because you had the guts to tell me personally that you blammed me b4 on my trailers (I assume) and give me the congrats to Punch-Out. I hope this review will inspire the others who had blammed me in the past to do the same as what you just did. Thanks!

Bong Smoking Super Saia-Jin Says

I wish I could give this something higher than a 5. Excellent use of old school 8-bit power, and the one thing most often overlooked in quality flashes, a great story. I cannot wait for this story to continue.

AngelnX, I dare say this, but you DA MAN!

Excellent Story about the Game!

It's nice how you can turn a game into an excellent movie like that! It was heartwarming to see Little Mac get out of Jail and begin his career again! It reminds me of the original punch out, I used to sit and play that for hours.

The story really fits in with the game, and the little bits of humour were excellent! Almost seemed like a real movie!

Graphics: Omg, I can't believe I'm giving it a 10! I have never seen sprites look this good in a movie before, it surprasses Super Mario Reloaded.

Sound: Well organized, just superb! I loved the music for the fight scenes, from FF7! Perfect fit! The beginning was perfect, the jail scene worked well with the music, and the power ranger's theme song(I think) at the end was awesome lol.

Interactivity: Well obviously.... But next time, maybe try to add a scene selection or a replay button, it might make the movie better!

Style: Great, fits in perfectly with the original story of the game, and the way that the move was done gives it a 10 easily.

Violence: A 7, not because of the fight scene that much, but because of the pic of Little Mac afterwards...

Humour: Hehehe, the dog scaring the duck into knocking down the guy, forgot what his name was though...

Overall:10!10!10!!! Bravo, I loved this, one of my few 10's go out to you pal! Wooot!

Final Notes: Excellent! The references to the game such as Glass Joe and Tyson were well placed. And this is one of the best sprite flashes based on a game ever! I hope this gets in the top 5! I just didn't get the marijuana, but it fitted in perfectly with the story.

Cya next time, I look foward to your next movie! Can't wait! I'll kill myself!

AngelnX responds:

Yea you're right! It is from power rangers, one of my fav shows of all time (of course im talking about the ol' skool power rangers) I really appreciate your comments A LOT man! What can I say? PAZ is BACK IN BUSINESS!!!
