Side-scrolling Red Faction

I would like to say that I was a big fan of those side-scrolling platform games for SNES, and Genesis, and I still am. This game was pretty damn good; I enjoyed it. The variety of enemies were rather refreshing. I also liked the story about the corporation, but that vauge name reminds me of the enemy on State of Emergency.

However, there are some cons to this otherwise spotless game. The music is so repetitive and annoying. Eventually, I muted my sound just so I wouldnt have to listen to it. Also, that helicopter enemy takes about a hundred and a half shots to destroy. But all in all, this game deserves this rating.
Aftermath: Make more side-scrolling, with the same quality of storylines. I'll play 'em.

tis good

its a good sidescroller...but too easy...tthe key is to wave up and down while holding down the spacebar....easy game....good....but simple....good job and props to you....( easy to beat)

Good but not great

Graphics: very good here. the animations were smooth and crisp. i loved the explosions too ^^

Sound: The music was pretty good, but monotonous.

Interactivity: controls were pretty responsive. only wish here was something more than just the regular gun. but judging by your resonse to the last review, you seem to have that already in mind.

Style: i liked the design of the bad guys and the hero, very cool ^^. this takes me back to the days of contra and what not.

Violence: dont know what to say here, its a shooting game...

Humor: the explosions made me chuckle, lol

I liked this, but it still needs improvement: its just the same thing over and over. in the next one, try adding levels and bosses. that would spice things up a bit. but overall, pretty good ^^
