Reviews for "lll_Narnia's Realm_lll"

nice

its a nice flash just a few bugs. The text lags the voice, and the story is boring. If your just looking at the quality of the flash it was good.

alexsmolik responds:

Thanks, glad you rather liked it.
Yeah, there are not only a few bugs, but loads, and I don't really know how to fix them so you know... Lip synching and all that stuff. The story may be boring but I thought it was appropriated for this kind of flash. Anyways, thanks for the graphics compliment !
Thanks for the review too.
Alex

yeah

um... hmmm.. i like the setting.... but then again its not your creation.. thats narnia... plus why does he want narnia to be free? it seems pretty free to me. hey that rhymed.. but seriously check him out.... sitting by a nice river with the forest all around chillin playing his instrument. voice was boring and not very well sync'd. animation was not consistent... for example the pan downwards at the start thru the forest treetops to groundlevel. it was fast then slow and then like there was a straight line where the trees stopped or something.... um well.. yeah just get it all sorted coz theres some potential at least.

alexsmolik responds:

Thanks, glad you rather liked it. Well, as said in previous reviews, I didn't know what Narnia was until I read the reviews. So you know ... There indeed are some problems with voice/lip synching, I admit. Yeah there is a little problem with the opening scene, the ground seems to be missing ... I might fix that.
Thanks for the review and the motivation you give me by saying the movie has potential.

Eh...

A lot of it seemed to be stolen from other things. You obviously stole Narnia from the Chronicles of Narnia (subconciously or on purpose, I'm not one to judge you on that.), the whole "evil wizard that did something bad a thousand years ago" just screams Lord of the Rings, and you also have original artwork that's "not by you", but you don't have cited as by anyone else. It's all just a bunch of copied ideas. And the one thing that wasn't copied the "jewels that bring peace to Narnia" is just plain stupid. It just reeks of badly-written fantasy. This is like a two-dollar PSOne that someone threw out after realizing what a crap-tacular game it was. The plot aside, the graphics were fairly well-drawn, there were cool looking maps, the loading screen and the buttons to select was pretty well done. So, for the outside part, it looked nice, but content-wise there was nothing there.

alexsmolik responds:

well, it isn't stolen, it's more "inspired" I'd say. And, as I said, I didn't know about the whole Narnia thing until I read the reviews! And I didn't even think of LOTR while writing the script, I just thought it'd be original, but apparently, it looks too much like LOTR. Original artwork? Well yes it is by me, it's just the fact that I tried to acquire a graphic style for this movie. Well, I thought that the jewels thingy was a rather good idea. Thanks for the compliments on both drawings, map, loading screen and buttons. Well, I thought that the content was rather good, but apparently not.
Thanks for the review.

nothing happened

the artwork was a bit crappy. The opening scenes looked like they were pathetically trying to imitate Bitey of Brackenwood's opening scene. And the syncing of the mouth, the text, and the voice was way off. The story, though a bit weak, seemed a little interesting, as much of a cliche LOTR plot it may be. But then, i was appalled to see that nothing happened. The little elf guy talked for a little while, and then it ended. Gimme a full movie with potential and i will vote higher.

alexsmolik responds:

Well, I put a lot of effort in the artwork. After, it depends wether if people like it or not, at least, that's what I think. Well yeah, the opening scene was actually trying to do like Bitey of Brackenwood, and I did my best to try to get the same effect. I won't even talk about the synching of text, sound and lips... that really gave me a hard time. I tried to make a nice plot, and it isn't a LOTR cliche btw ! :)
Yeah it might end up a little quickly, I just don't like big file sizes!
I shall make better movies, but now I'm taking a break. Too much flash in my life, gotta focus on school.
Thanks for the review.
Alex

Meh.

It was ok. Most of the voice was out of sync.

alexsmolik responds:

Thanks, glad you rather liked it.
And there indeed is some problems with the voice and synching and all that.
Thanks for the review.
