nothing happened

the artwork was a bit crappy. The opening scenes looked like they were pathetically trying to imitate Bitey of Brackenwood's opening scene. And the syncing of the mouth, the text, and the voice was way off. The story, though a bit weak, seemed a little interesting, as much of a cliche LOTR plot it may be. But then, i was appalled to see that nothing happened. The little elf guy talked for a little while, and then it ended. Gimme a full movie with potential and i will vote higher.

Well, I put a lot of effort in the artwork. After, it depends wether if people like it or not, at least, that's what I think. Well yeah, the opening scene was actually trying to do like Bitey of Brackenwood, and I did my best to try to get the same effect. I won't even talk about the synching of text, sound and lips... that really gave me a hard time. I tried to make a nice plot, and it isn't a LOTR cliche btw ! :)
Yeah it might end up a little quickly, I just don't like big file sizes!
I shall make better movies, but now I'm taking a break. Too much flash in my life, gotta focus on school.

nice

its a nice flash just a few bugs. The text lags the voice, and the story is boring. If your just looking at the quality of the flash it was good.

Yeah, there are not only a few bugs, but loads, and I don't really know how to fix them so you know... Lip synching and all that stuff. The story may be boring but I thought it was appropriated for this kind of flash. Anyways, thanks for the graphics compliment !

Not Bad

Your backgrounds are great and the overall art style works for the piece. This shows a great deal of effort and it's something you can be proud of.

In your sequel, and there should definitely be one, be sure to address the following:

1) Change the name of Narnia - Unless this is based on C.S. Lewis' seven volume set of "The Chronicles of Narnia" (I didn't see any credit to him or see any hints it was the same world from his books, but I read them many years ago), I would suggest you change the name. It'd be like calling the location "Tatooine" or "Cimmeria" without any relation to Star Wars or Conan. It could also bring up copyright issues.

2) Sound synching - I watched it twice, once at medium quality as per your suggestion and once at low quality and the synching was still a bit off.

3) Voice acting - While the actor was fine, he lacked the ability to draw the viewer into the story. Use actors who evoke emotion much better.

Overall, I think you have a pretty nifty project here and I'd like to see you continue. Best of luck on future episodes!

First of all, thanks, and I'm glad you rather liked it: I did spend a lot of time on the backgrounds and art. And yes, I am rather proud of my work and have almost no regrets, except for lip synching. Thank for the infos, I'll change the names as soon as I can. I know about the sound/lip synching problem, I just don't really know how to correct that.. The person that did the voices was just a friend, nothing really professional, I just needed a voice, quick and fast so I could keep animating.

Well, flash isn't as easy as it may seem, for instance, you haven't got any. That being said, I did my best and I have no regrets at all. Except lip synching. It may be boring to you, but don't take your case generally. Some people might actually like it.
