Breathtaking

I know that you are supposed to normally leave long detailed thoughts on these drawings but really bro that is beyond breathtaking! Congrats!

Thanks!

This is symbolic to me.
It represents the longing of a simpler time.
An age without conflicting opinions and bad politicians and dying species.
An age where people didn't lock their doors.
An age that seemed to be without sorrow.
An age long gone.
An age without digital photography.
An age of black and white.
A lost age.
So perfect, so ideal.
Yet the loss of color reminds us daily that that age is
GONE.

Beautiful.

Yes, you should be proud of this. This is amazing. I wish I could have that dream, it sounds really nice. The pencil didn't work out bad at all, haha. Have you ever done any pieces with colored pencil? I think it would be very good. I'm not artist really, though, so it's a guess =P

But really, the piece is fantastic. Awesome job =)

Nice!

Nice work! Especially considering what tools you used... anyone can make a "masterpiece" with photoshop now, and what you made shows real talent.

One *tiny* thing that bugs me is the "noon shadow" cast by the clothesline... doubt anyone else noticed...

Other than that it's perfect!

1600 responds:

I was actually wondering if anybody was going to notice that misplaced shadow...

This is amazing! It seriously looks like an old engraving! Do you even know what those are? There were made in the Middle Ages by people like Albert Duchter or however you say his name. This is just fantastic because it reminded me of classic art. Everything is so freaking realistic!

It's great to know that this was based on a dream. Sounds like a pretty realistic one. I just love the design of all the little trees. It must have taken forever to make them! It's really cool to see slanted houses like that too. 1600's a pretty nonstandard name.
