Reviews for "-Air and Rain-"

Its air and rain

This actually matches the title of the tune, its really air and rain together.

What really impressed me is the sound, of the rain in the background. I dont know how you put that soundn in but its sound very authentic to me. The piano music is lovely and light and fell ,like air it matches the descripton. As to sound at the start its fairly quiet ,but get nosier with time. The piano becomes more tuneful ,and sound very beautiful. Its a great mix the beats are lovely all in tune. The ending is nice finish.

No real problems here although sometimes the beat got repetive ,as it mostly just piano music but not very often.

Overeal a lovely weather track.

Thanks for the review!

Very impressive

At first I didn't like the static sound in the background, until i realized that it was the whole point of the song - Air and Rain. I loved those special effects in the background, they really made your song something great to listen to. I also loved the way the piano fit into the whole of the song. I'm usually not very big on trance or ambient music, but overall I feel like this was an awesome song, with nothing to be improved upon. Everything was perfect from the beginning until the end. You don't ALWAYS need a loop to have a good song, and this is living proof. Great work!

ya, initially the song didn't have any ambient sounds, but I added rain and thunder and it really gave it a cool feel, and I kinda based the song around that feel. Thanks for the review, glad to hear you liked it.

Not bad.

You must forgive me for the short review that isn't too helpful, but I'm getting a little tired of reviewing this morning. This might be the last one and I will take a break.

I enjoyed listening to this audio submission. It could fit into either the trance or ambient genre in my opinion. The thunder that you put in was a nice touch in the one part. I really like the section that started at 1 minute. It really seemed to pick up there.

Interesting Mix

I always enjoy listening to songs where people mix genres. Some people can do it better then others and you did a good job here.

The amount of instrument variation in the intro could be a bit better. The piano sounds great but maybe a pad or some strings could back it up along with the rain and thunder. Not much to say till the drums.

Your choice of drums is more Trance oriented which is fine. I also liked drums in ambient but the drums I would of gone with probably would have been deeper and a bit slower. Thats just a personal preference though on my part.

Overall a strong song that could use a little more body.

Gloudas responds:

hmm the strings are a good idea for the first half, didn't think about it. And yeah, I messed around with the drums but I really liked the trance sound they created, so I kinda tried to orient the rest of the song around em. Thanks a bunch for the review, I really appreciate it, I'll probably mess around with the song a bit more and I'll definately work on adding a bit more body.

summary

Some of the piano chords worked, some didn't. You worked your melody around chords though, not the other way around - good job there.

Ok, uh... this started to feel like chillout trance once your drums came in. Nice lightning effect, I guess? But after that there's no ambiance or anything, it's just trance. I note that's what you're trying to do here, but what I would suggest to avoid something potentially bad is to lowpass or highpass your drums - or to use reverb and turn the dry output down, increasing the wet output.

4/5

Gloudas responds:

hmm thats a good idea, although I kinda intended the drums to have a trance feel, as I was attempting to change the song from ambience to trance. Not sure how well it worked though.
Anyways, thanks for the review!
