Reviews for "Sadness and Sorrow v.2"

Wow.

I must say, this is an excellent piece you have here, better than my entry I'll admit. I love the soft piano you used. The FL orchestral strings aren't all that bad IMO. Sure, there are better out there (I'd give you soundfont names but I lost mine when I reformatted my disk), but these strings works.

I'm curious, which piano are you using? It sounds excellent and I would love getting it if you don't mind :P

Good luck on the MAC!

BlazingDragon responds:

Thank you very much for the review. The FL Strings sound decent when used for textural purpose in the background, but do horribly when exposed. I use the SquidFont Orchestral soundfont, now. As far as the piano goes, it is called "MIS Stereo Piano". I found it on Blackhole12's profile and love it dearly. It is actually a direct wave sample and not a soundfont, though it should still work in FL Studio. (It does for me and my FL Studio 8 Demo) You can find the link on this page:

Good luck to you as well in the MAC! :D

Great.

I thought the original of yours was great, and now I am in shock at how you are able to make something like this. It flows so well with the strings and the piano in harmony.

BlazingDragon responds:

It's a really simple song, but I think that is the charm. I wish I could write a song like this regularly. :(
I'm thinking about using this as one of the submissions to the MAC8 "Sorrowed Tears" contest.

Thanks for the review!

Now i'm not normally one for sad songs...

However this composition is a blow to the musical ethics i normally listen to(ethics being generally trying to steer clear of unhappy songs ect) I welcome it.the piano and slight violin rise during the whole piece adds a good depth and constant background to the piece.

Normally in these types of song there are multiple instruments vying for last place as it where(inducing the sad theme) with the piano and the violin as the only counterparts it makes for a powerfull composition.

Well done

BlazingDragon responds:

Thank you for the well written review. It always makes my day to read one that is well thought out. I am thrilled to hear that this was able to make a "blow to the musical ethics" you normally carry. That means a lot! I generally don't write for more than a few instruments, mostly because I don't have the experience. I am much better creating a simple but intimate piano melody than a grand orchestral piece.

Thank you again for the review!

Beautiful

[nothing more to say]

BlazingDragon responds:

Your review epitomizes the phrase, "short and sweet". :P Tha'ts alright, though. I appreciate the comment! :D

PS. I find it funny that you left a review, as I was just browsing your audio about 30 seconds ago. You've got some interesting piano songs! I will leave a more extensive review later on.
