BlazingDragon responds:

There is some surprisingly good music on the audio portal. Winterwind-NS has some incredible piano music which I would highly recommend. :)

oooo nice and sad.

BlazingDragon responds:

Nice and sad is how I roll. ;)

ok whatever was missing from SaS v1 was very heavily here. i knew it was going to be good on the first note. and when the stings came in. myjaw dropped. it is absolutely beautiful. this is what i see

i see a POW(prisiner of war), an american soldier held captive. The rest of his squad, anihilated. his hope to escape, squashed. With arms held up above his head by rope, the marks of torture covering his body, he weeps. Not for fear or pain. But sorrow. he recalls the last sweet moments he spend with his friends before the ambush how they laughed at eachothers jokes, telling eachother what they will do when their term is over. then the first shot rang. The torturers are coming down the hall now, he will learn to recognise the sound of that bootfall on stone floor well very well. He hastily straitens up. honor and pride streached across his face as the door to his cell opens. 3 men walk in. And as the song fades away so does the picture. but lastly seen within the gloom of the cell is a smile on the face of the soldier.

i dont know why he smiles but that is what i see nevertheless.

beautiful song. i thought up many different scenarios to attach to this masterpiece but this one stood out the most to me. because i know this could be happening to any one of our soldiers held captive in iraq. i was truly honored to shake the hand of a reaturned solder recently. i told him i was honored to meet him. that i was thankful for his servis to this country and to this freadom i am allowed to have. Withought our soldiers this country would be in ruin from all the attacks other countries have laid on our lap. Please everybody its easy to forget a war when the bias'd liberal media doesnt cover it just remember that people have been tortured and died so that i could write this today in freedom. and so you could read it.

BlazingDragon responds:

I really must apologize for how long it has taken me to respond. I've been very busy lately and have many reviews to catch up on! I actually wrote a lengthy response to this a long time ago, but my computer froze and I lost it. :/ I don't remember all that I said, so I'll just write a new response.

First off, wonderful story. It is different than what I imagined, but that is what I love about music. The smile at the end is interesting. Almost ironic. My cousin was soldier in Iraq and died recently. His vehicle apparently ran over a land mine and he was gravely injured. Though he was quickly flown home to the states, both his arms and legs were amputated. He would be a quadriplegic for the rest of his life, and he was only in his early twenties. He died shortly thereafter.

Whether or not you agree with the war in Iraq, we should at least support our soldiers. They are out there risking their very lives to protect our country. It is so easy to forget that we have soldiers dying when it doesn't directly affect us. It is easy to forget that we are at war as we sit at home on the computer. But young men and women with entire lives ahead of them are dying to protect the country that they love. I burn with anger when I here about radical liberals protesting around the funeral of a soldier. That soldier died to protect us! It makes me wonder if there is any honor left in the world?

I never thought much about Iraq until my cousin died. Now, I realize much more clearly that there is more at stake than meets the eye. It all reminds me of the famous poem "In Flanders Fields".

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

A beautiful poem. Just think of the USA instead of Flanders. Anyway, thank you very much for the review. I am glad to know that you support our soldiers. It brings me great joy.

Again?

Again I am left speechless, by you.. BlazingDragon (aka Blaze). I have faroited most of your songs or at least half.

BlazingDragon responds:

This one especially means a lot to me. I wrote the original a very long time ago and the track means a lot. It is very simplistic and yet one of my better pieces (IMO).

Thanks,
~Blaze
