Reviews for "(NUB)The Fire"

haunting/foot tapping

Not a normal combination. I suppose alot of your songs are kind oxymorons. Ambient/chaotic. Anywho, probably why I love it. =)

I usually do not listen to this, but now...

After reading your description, I can now visualize the house, waking up to find yourself alone against the inferno, I can see myself panic, try to find a way out, any way out, but the windows are blocked by fallen burning debris, there is now certainly no way out, I try running downstairs, the stairs are completely caved in! "This is bad, this is definitely not a dream" (I am sorry if I am kind of rambling on about how this song makes me feel and what my minds eye sees, but that is my imagination running rampant on the keyboard) I start to hyperventilate, I try to make a last ditch attempt at pulling away the debris from the window, I scortch my hands, but for some reason the only thought in my mind is if that my family managed to make it out alive?! as the smoke starts to fill the room, I scream for someone, anyone to hear that there is someone still alive in this now disfigured house, no one hears me... I can barely see outside. I see the clouds, I see the faces of strangers, neighbors, friends, relatives, loved ones, staring at me... I can tell that I have already passed out, there is no hope left for me, I prepare to wake up in heavan...

This song just grabbed hold of my imagination and wouldn't let go until I did something about it, so I did and the paragraph above is the result. I love this song man, I am definitely downloading it.

Thank you for sharing this.

wow.... all I can say is thank you for this. I'm glad that you were able to formulate this into words. And I've read it about 3 times now. thank you very much wally.

Fire!

I really like this piece, especially the way it all builds up with some calm moments in between, and in the end how everything explodes into that wonderful rhytm. One of my new favorite songs!

nubbinownz responds:

Thank you very much. <3

Rockin

I've heard the song, irl you actually sang it when I was at your house one day. People don't really get this type of music and therefore they grade according to their opinion, not the quality of the music. Therefore people if you don't like it, listen to something else. Don't write crappy reviews about people's music you simply don't understand. I don't like blues... so i don't write reviews on it, because obviously they would be bias. I love the song bro keep it up you are going places.

The end of the story in my mind

This is the end, go down two more to start at the begining.
before it starts to cave. You jump down the rest, grab a piece of the remaining steel railing and use it to redirect and fling yourself into the second story floor. The staircase collapses behind you, there is not much time. You run past the flames in that hallway so fast that the heat barley has time to burn the top of your skin. It occurs to you that now that you are on the second story floor and could very well jump out of a window and land it without to much risk to fatal injury. Knowing this you run towards the already shattered window at the end of the hall. Before you jump though you look down and see that there is in an alleyway with tons of broken glass and twisted metal that could kill you at the bottom. You look around for an alternate route and see the building is now a firebox. Nothing could live in there anymore. You look outside again and see a pipe along the wall. Without hesitation you grab the pipe and swing outwards. Your fingers scream as skin in the tips is ripped off from the rough bricks on the outside of the building, but you ignore it. Using incredible strength that you were not capable of before, you sidle along the wall until you come to a pipe that is vertical to you. You grab the pipe and start sliding down, but when you do this the pipes fastening comes off and you start to fall. Determined not to be killed by falling after all of this, you use the pipe to whirl you around. You hit the ground hard, but on your feet. The Impact forces you to channel some of the pressure to your hands, and you land with one hand and two feet on the ground. You take two steps forward, the iron resolve that had kept you going in the building still driving your actions. Abruptly, you stop. You made it! You are out alive! The celebration is short lived, as the will to live being satisfied loosens its grip onto your will. Your legs suddenly become weak and collapse from under you as the pain and fear returns. Kneeling on the ground staring at the inferno that was almost your tomb, you hear a crash and see giant tremors rack the building. As if it were still trying to hold itself up, the building slowly sank towards the ground before finally succumbing to the fire and crashing in a beautiful and hideous explosion. As you watch the last off it burn, fatigue hits you like a train. Your vision blurs and you lose the will or the care to keep watching. You hold briefly before abruptly collapsing, and the last thing you feel before going unconscious are the hands of someone catching you.

That was the movie in my mind. Ive watched it many times and thought that anyone who wants to should be able to now too. as you can probably see Iv make like 3 accounts to add this, so you can tell some efort was put in. Read the story and take it how you like, but listen to the song at the same time or after and youll see how amazinly close it is.
