Reviews for "Jerricco: Episode I"

Needle's review had some great points.

I enjoyed this enough to watch it through. It had very good scene-to-scene directing, enough for it to overcome its somewhat cliche'd concept and artistic flaws. Yes, two tones of shading to the colors would help. drawn shading, not gradient fill.

My favorite part was the ship exploding, you drew that well in angle and perspective. Thumbs up for that.

I have a plot-related question. Why were the bad guys standing around and not trying to evacuate if there was a bomb timed to go off in a minute? That confused me, unless all the bad guys didn't know about the bomb, aside from the leader in the white pimp suit and his pilot.

Perhaps a little text intro or something could have cleared up that part of the plot.

Just some constructive advice. Entertaining little movie.

jerricco-team responds:

I'll keep that shading advice in mind in the future. I wanted to make it sort of a actiony intro with an unsure story line, that's why there's no text intro and so I won't say what the plot really is *taps nose*.
Thanks alot for the review!

Great Work.

I loved the animation, the gore, and the story plot. Nice work.

jerricco-team responds:

Thanks, and the plot will thicken ;)

pretty cool

good animation, not enough one man kill 'em alls aywhere

jerricco-team responds:

I like the stealthyness more than the running around, but if more episodes follow they might be more of that ;)
Thanks alot.

comical....

I say comical, because I find violence to be mildly hilarious. I especially liked the part where Jerricco was inside the boat, did a front flip and shot those two guys in the head and chest.
I would have to agree with Nikells, though, when he says that the main charcter looks a bit dorky.
But I do look forward to episode two, to a certain extent. But yes, do something with the main character's looks.

jerricco-team responds:

Oh he's gonna stay dorky, let me assure you. But how 'bout the neck break, I found that one to turn out to be the funniest of the violence.
Thanks for the review.

Much Improved

I bought in and watched your old movie, and there is a great improvement from the last one. It's a lot better animated, and the characters look a lot better too. That being said, there were some things that struck me as odd.
For one thing, your main character "Jericho", had no ears. I'm sure you could argue that his funky-ass goggles were covering them up, that that would mean his ears are extremely small and in the wrong spot on his head. Also, as cool as it may seem in your head, doing a front flip and shooting people in the face in mid-air just doesn't seem believable.
What I think you guys should work on the most is character design, and try to get your guys to look a bit more realisitic. When I say realistic, I mean proportional to a normal human being. Also, work on voice a bit more, since there was very little in this installment, and the ones in the previouse sounded pretty bad. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy the movie though. It was cool, and entertaining. Keep up the good work, and try to follow some if not all my advice. Peace, I'm out.

jerricco-team responds:

I do argue that his ears are covered up by the goggles ;). And if you knew all the workings of "JERRICCO" (just so everyone knows, it's double "R" double "C") you'd see that the flip isn't unreallistic. There's a little foreshadowing for ya. And yeah..voices will be better and that old episode 1 is in the primitive stages of our skills, so feel free to laugh at it.
Thanks for the advice.
