Reviews for "Tile-Based RPG Engine 0.9"

OMG!

omg...u cannot earn money...u cannot heal and there is only 1 opponent!!!whats wrong with you jammer?

Syrsly responds:

It's an 'engine' meaning it isn't an actual game. I had later versions, but my computer screwed up. lolz Version 2 was awesome.

.....

well it will beened much better if that was WORK!

Syrsly responds:

well it will beened much better if -you could speak proper english!

Seriously, I don't have a clue what you're complaining about. lol

i really like the battle system

but put in music, a storyline, i know its just a demo but attack only works in battles and put in a character selection besides that it's pretty damn good

Syrsly responds:

Magic works as well, but you need an elemental staff. If you want to see what has come out of all this work, check out Ymir: Tale of the World.

Ymir Alpha used the FJTBRPG battle system. Beta used the tiles system. Both have music and some sound effects. The tile-based rpg engine on NG is pretty old.

lol your stupid last reviewer

you cant compare rpg maker and this one because this allows creating flash files "flash" it the whole point

Syrsly responds:

Yeah, a shame the guy never read my response. He would have learned something. lol

I appreciate your nice rating, but could you tell me what you liked most about this RPG engine? Do you like the battle system? Or do you just enjoy the old-fashioned tile-based graphics? Or perhaps you just like how I put everything together?

Hmmm not a bad game but...

If you wanted to make a tile based rpg. Why not use rpg maker? Its much easier and the grapics or loads better too. Its hard to find a site that lets you download it but I know theres sites out there that do. And there always free as well. Rpg maker would be much better at making rpgs then flash. (Im not advertising im just pointing this fact out.)

Syrsly responds:

RPG Maker is for personal use only. My engine is for commercial use as well.

RPG Maker is illegally translated and has a lot of glitchs both in games and in the game editor. It also only supports 256 colors, while my engine supports 32bit color. RPG Maker games are rather large and easy to cheat on. My engine is small, has all its files in one big file, and is impossible to cheat on unless designed that way.

Also, the sound in RPG Maker is CRAPPY. My engine supports mp3 formatting and has many features for audio control.

Oh yeah! The chipsets! RPG Maker has this annoying chipset system, which is VERY limited. My engine has no chipset system, so you can just edit the coding a bit and have as many tiles as you want. You can even change the sizes!

So to review what I just said, RPG Maker may be easier to use, but my engine is a lot better in the long run.
