Reviews for "Detective Frofrog 2"

Awsome job Marcus

There's a reason why you're #2 on my list. Everything about it you could tell was taken seriously, something you don't see normally in the portal. Awsome animation. Awsome music. Awsome plot. What else can I say. It's always great to watch your movies, I never stop enjoying it. If I weren't making $75 a month, I'd toss some cash you're way most definatly, cause this is something worth shelling out for. So everyone else, who actually makes some money and not a poor Francisican wanna-be monk like me, give the man the $$$ he deserves.

McRhyme responds:

Thanks, I sure hope some people will donate some... So all my work wasn't in wain. "I don't mean to sound bitter, I just smell funny" (this is a line from future Frofrog episodes).

It's nice that some understand the humour and appreciate all the hard work!

He he....

Nice! That's All I gotta say!

McRhyme responds:

Thanks, all I've got to say!

Funny but disjointed

I liked your style and direction of the pace of some of the scenes. I also enjoyed some of the gags but unfortunately, they did not "feel" connected. I mean, the scenes were linked in a somewhat orthodox fashion that is understandable, but the humour seemed to fall flat as a whole. I get the sense there is a bit of tribute to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy here (especially considering the credits) and that you have been influenced by British comedies, which isn't necissarily a bad thing (Douglas Adam ruled and Monty Python is classic). Nice touches with the preloader as well, a game, introduction, and a "clock" to see how the loading is going - kudos on that it was definitely above average. The whole animation shows great dedication and skill, so I feel kinda bad that I just don't get it.

Also, to come to the defense of "Genryu's Blade DVD" and its submitor ShockAnime, it clearly states in his author's comments: "Some of you think I'm a big studio. I'm not. I'm just one guy. The people that help me did the voices and gave me more ideas for the story and script" and in the opening credits "Directed, Drawn, and Animated by Nelson Hurst". Are you saying that he is lying and that he secretly has a production company unlike yourself? I think you owe an apology for spreading a rumour - admit it, you probably were just blown away like the rest of us and "thought" he must've done it with ALOT of help.

McRhyme responds:

Wow.. I am sorry. I really thought that ShockAnime was something bigger. I haven't seen the latest version I say the first old one a long long time ago. Sorry, seems I was wrong.

Anyway, thanks for a very informative review.

fairly good

the movie wasn't too bad. it didn't really seem to have any point but some parts were funny, but then again, i haven't seen the first one so it might make more sense, if i watch it first. definetely better then my animations. keep up the good work.

P.S. like the hand painted backgrounds!

McRhyme responds:

If you read the introduction in the preloader things will start to make sense, I think.

Seeing the first episode will make you more familiar with the characters. But the story hard progressed much in the last episode. Nor did it in this one, much like you said.

not bad

well the story was a bit hard to follow, but i guess i should see part 1 it might fill in some stuff. but it did seem to drag on with no direction. but it was funny, i'm not trying make fun of you. but anyway it was a hell of alot better than i ever could do so i bet your next episode will be great keep it up man

McRhyme responds:

Thanks. Your being hard on me because you like what you saw but wanted it to be better. I'm like that myself. Fair enough. I know little happened to the story this time. Still it was an important episode where Frofrog go the assignement to deal with the andriods!
