good thing this is a beta
cause it would've been terrible if it werre the full game, here are suggestions for a complete version of this game:
menus: you should make menus like an instructions menu and an options menu so people could turn off music or learn the controls.
modes: you could do with different modes of gameplay, an easy thing would be like setting the difficulty levels like easy, medium, or hard. something that would get a 10 would be putting in like extra mini-games or something. maybe you could make this beta version a minigame, so people could test how good they are at dodging flaming balls
power-ups: power ups would be a nice addition to this game, like the marijuana or the assault rifle like in the original pico game or make some new ones. nice power-ups would be weapons which could be used for killing different characters to win the race, which will be explained in my next column.
characters: some more characters would be good, like being able to pick the people from the game, like the goth kids and cassandra, or nene and darnell for example. they could be unlockable throughout the game even, like there could be a story mode where you start out as pico and as you progress you unlock different characters in the game. that would get a 5/5 on my vote, probably other people's too.
CHEATS: you don't need cheats in the game, but it would be cool if you beat certain things or if you beat the whole game you find out the cheats, like if you're playing a certain mode or mini-game, you could give someone a cheat code if they beat it or if they get a certain score. good cheat codes would be like unlock all characters or unlock all tracks if you make different tracks in the game like making the hallway in pico's school a track, or maybe unlock all power-ups as in there could be a shop menu and you buy new power-ups in the game and if you beat something you get all of the power-ups unlocked. more codes could be like giant heads or
giant tires or zero gravity. these are just some suggestions, if only i knew how to make flash i'd make my own game similar to this, but since i don't maybe i could see my ideas in future games that you or someone else makes.
so these ideas i listed are just some things you could use, you don't have to use all of them to make the game but if you did you'd be one of my favorite flash artists. good luck on finishing.
