I try to work line over volume. That way their irrealistic bodies look more natural and the illustration can work.

It represents the season very well.It reminds of what it would look like if John K's flash work mixed with the lowbrow artist shag's work with a super commercial art sensibility.I could defiently see it in a low profile commercial.

Yeah, I really dig those lowbrow artists, but I've grown up with different influences from them... No surf-rock, but late '70's series and movies. Yes to old magazine advertisements... But anyway, I've been unaware of such tendencies until very recently...
Gosh, it's very hard for me to make auto-evaluation of my own work, I feel I'm just starting! It's not the time for me to think on that, but to make more pics.
Anyway, I felt immensely flattered by the fact you compare my amateur pics with the ones of renowned artists.

Not so much, this one came out reasonably fast... I mean, compared with some of my other works, that is. Tweaking nodes can be so tiresome...
