Reviews for "Winterbliss"

Finally!

This is nice :D Finally some one posted some Progressive Trance, I would like to hear some more on NG, also you say there are orchestral themes, eh? That might be considered as partial Dream Trance.

cycerin responds:

More genre wankery! I thought I knew them all, and along comes Dream Trance. Oh well, thanks for the review. :)

wow

this song is so calming and ambient.

i get this image of like being in a forest and theres a full moon out.

well done

its fast and smooth. keeps moving. the melody its pleasant. light, but still with a trance hook.

and in a few places, right when the track threatens to sound repetitive, the track is shaken up at just the right moment! :D good job.

NICE!

I enjoyed this a lot!
Love the strings incorporated with the techno!

happy face is happy

I applaud you for having one of the more original pieces on Newgrounds. Its nice to know that electronic music isn't just a cookie cutter copy of every other song within its specific genre.
The first thing that I notice, when listening to this song, is that you have quite a lot of "music sense". In other words, you have an ability to make good songs within your mind. It shows within this song; the melody is catchy and all of its components are put in the song for a GOOD reason, not just for filling in spaces in between the main melody.
Your actual execution of the song, however, could have used some improvement. The drums seemed to be slightly too loud and the strings you used felt rather choppy. Also, even though this is the least repetitive progressive trance song that I have ever heard, it stills suffers from some of the repetitiveness that all progressive trance faces.
However, none of this makes Winterbliss a bad song. In matter of fact, it is one of the best songs I have heard in Newgrounds for a while. It just could use some improvement for it to become better, and I applaud you, Cycerin, for creating something like this
