You have actually made me think today. I love this peice. It forces us to see something that we try to hide from our eyes because it makes us uncomfortable. I've actually watched this many times, but today I just felt the urge to finally comment on it. "Thou shalt not kill" indeed. I'm quite happy where I am. (Beliefs are dangerous. They allow the mind to stop functioning. A non-functioning mind is clinically dead.) In parting, thank you.

Great stuff
Personally, I think there does exist some sort of a creator, but for us humans to assign human-like emotions and motivation to it is arrogant in the extreme. But, people are scared of death and scared of thinking for themselves. Oh well. I have a gay friend who gets a bit depressed sometimes because every religion in existence says he is gonna go to hell for being what he is. And then I read some Muslim website saying that gay people choose to be gay, because God doesn't create us that way. But then we know through science that there is a strong inborn tendency, especially in male homosexuals. Hence, Islam is wrong. By extension, all "religions of the book" are wrong. All those people, wasting their lives.
OK, I can't post links here but if you google for "thebricktestament judges", the lego bible people have recently done Judges 11:34-39, which was nice of them.
All religions are full of holes. Most are obvious. That the world is covered with ppl who believe in a bogus religion is proof that most ppl are easily brainwashed. Not a very good evaluation for humankind.

Dude, I finally found someone who can agree with me something! The Christian religion is so fucked off! As a bisexual, a "Goth" (I don't see myself as Gothic, people just call me Goth because I wear black all the time) and a confused Pagan, I take alot of abuse. I was just recently pointing out several parts of the bible to a Believer friend, who said that God was almighty and merciful. If that were so, why would he tell a follower to sacrifice his son in his name? Why would he except human sacrifices in exchange for horrific acts of violence, rather than saving these poor souls from the condemnation of death? That is not a an almighty and merciful God. That is a self-righteous God that ultimately does not exist. the true Gods and Godesses never asked for human sacrifice.

Rather than speaking against God, i think this story is speaking against those people who expect to make a bargain with God to solve all their problems and end up losing something valuable. Though the warrior said, "help us to defeat your enemies, e probably only wanted to save himself, and rather than solve his own problem he turned to God for help and believed he had to offer something in order for God to help him, even though he could have just made a simple prayer, which God would have answered even without the need of a girl's soul.
Sapphyres pointed out that in the story of Abraham, God stopped Abraham from offering his son, but that story is different, for in that case God asked Abraham for his son. In this case it was the other way round, the man offering his daughter. If anything the difference shows us that God does not want people to make human sacrifices.
In the story of Job, the children which God gives Job are Job's original children, plus two more.
Sapphyres was right about doing the right thing for it is the right thing, and not doing it out of fear of burning in hell. I would also like to point out that i am a Catholic (Roman Catholic to be specific)

I admit this was a great flash with a great song but I think god was a little too obscene in that part. You should of rethought about god in that part before you submitted this.
I should have thought about god? Why not zeus or daffy duck? God is a myth. God is a lie perpetrated by men in order to control ppl. Religion is the scourge of humanity. It is the leading cause of war and intolerance. If you believe in a god you are either brainwashed or delusional.
