Reviews for "God Digs my Daddy"

HAha

That's a funny ass song, good shit :D

Ranxx responds:

Thanks main.
I'm glad it brought a few minutes of entertainment to you.

Nicely Done....

To start...I wont profess to know shit about the bible... not that I could really give half a damn. Being a pagan, Christians sort of frown on my views so Ill just frown on theirs [An eye for an Eye perhaps?]... anyway, I thought this movie was indeed well done, I loved the message.. "The Bible is false...it leads you into doing stupid shit for a God who will never answer you..." *ahem* well that was MY derived message. The music was lovely...I love good, morbid creepy music like that... I may have chosen Mortiis..or.. Cradle of Filth...but perhaps that would have over done it?...Anyway, bravo!

Ranxx responds:

Thanks Nymphetamine. Fantastic name BTW.. Seriously cool. I like the way it rolls off the tongue and the sexual chemical implications. It's very poetic. Anyway yeah, as an Atheist I don't even believe in a god that does or doesn't answer you. The Residents are as much performance art as musicians. They are in fact multimedia pioneers. Too experimental for the masses but I like them. Thanks for the great review and keep on being a freethinker..

Thank you

You have actually made me think today. I love this peice. It forces us to see something that we try to hide from our eyes because it makes us uncomfortable. I've actually watched this many times, but today I just felt the urge to finally comment on it. "Thou shalt not kill" indeed. I'm quite happy where I am. (Beliefs are dangerous. They allow the mind to stop functioning. A non-functioning mind is clinically dead.) In parting, thank you.

Wow. That is perhaps the most succinct and cognitive review I've ever read. Thank you..!

AWsome

great music not much more to say

Very Good

Rather than speaking against God, i think this story is speaking against those people who expect to make a bargain with God to solve all their problems and end up losing something valuable. Though the warrior said, "help us to defeat your enemies, e probably only wanted to save himself, and rather than solve his own problem he turned to God for help and believed he had to offer something in order for God to help him, even though he could have just made a simple prayer, which God would have answered even without the need of a girl's soul.

Sapphyres pointed out that in the story of Abraham, God stopped Abraham from offering his son, but that story is different, for in that case God asked Abraham for his son. In this case it was the other way round, the man offering his daughter. If anything the difference shows us that God does not want people to make human sacrifices.

In the story of Job, the children which God gives Job are Job's original children, plus two more.

Sapphyres was right about doing the right thing for it is the right thing, and not doing it out of fear of burning in hell. I would also like to point out that i am a Catholic (Roman Catholic to be specific)

Nice movie, with a deep meaning.
