Reviews for "=Snowboard Kids: Hidden Track="

Nice!

I also took the path of not-christmas-music-but-christmassy-f eel for the Mac Dec07. This is pretty damn good, also! I like the canon in it and the melody, both work really well together, and the authenticity of the chiptune feels great. Truly outstanding job!

WritersBlock responds:

Thanks man! I'm glad you like it. This song was real fun for me to make, and it's good to know that others can enjoy it too.

Cheers!

5/5 and 10/10

- Good stuff -
I defintley got an old-school christmasy feeling from this. Also it had that retro beep which is AWESOME! There was alot of different lines of sounds, i like that.

- Bad stuff -
Didn't loop well enough, if it did then I could listen to this over and over. bit too repetive but retro video-game soundtranks were normally repetive.

WritersBlock responds:

Yeah, I could've done this as a loop, but I went for a proper song structure, which would have added to the repetitiveness of it. I mixed it up a little bit, but obviously not enough to stop it getting tiresome. Thanks for the review!

really does sound like snowboard kids

I should know, I got both of them, I'm kinda surprised you are making wintery stuff at this time, considering that the axial tilt means that over there in Australia you are about to hit the summer solstice while the lot of us are up to our knees in snow and ice, great song, really does sound like an ancient midi synthesizer like the one from the N64

WritersBlock responds:

Yeah, I absolutely love them games. And, yeah, it's summer atm =P
Thanks for the review.

Capturing a butterfly

I really think you captured the spirit of the original song so to speak.
It is a highly repeatable song and it went straight into my Mp3 so i can listen to it whenever i'd like to, keep up the good work. Also, i am currently in the process of learning chiptuning myself (Via your guide funny enough) so hopefully if all goes well, i will upload it here on Newgrounds.

Nice

It's good, I like it.
