Reviews for "Journey of a Kite"

Slaps!? lmao

I hope that bass is self-played since the slaps sound damn nice! (doub it though) Anyways, nice structured song. I surely can imagen a kite going into the air. The child/man holding it, watching it going higher and higher. You captured the feeling for sure. The soundquality was very nice too, very gentle piano tone there. The only thing I didn't like was the synth- or I guess better to say synth sounding guitar. :/

Other than that, good job man! 5up from me!

jnry3 responds:

Hey thanks! ^_^ The five means a lot.

Well... it's a fully-synthetic track. I'm still trying to turn the synthetic guitar into something that would sound a bit more realistic. Yup, that's slap bass. Can play that if I had practice (been away from my bass for quite some time already... months!).

Again, many thanks for the review and the five and nine! ^_^

too fast!

I like the tempo changes, reminds me of classical music. in fact, this song reminds me of classical music for many reasons. Although, in one part, you kinda went to mach speed or something, and it sounded like you lost control of the music and kind went wild.still didnt sound shabby though. good work, id like to see more good work from you guys soon.

jnry3 responds:

The tempo of the entire song is set to 115 BPMs, even during the "wild" parts. It just played at 1/32, but yeah, it got "wild" or "energetic". (Although it's in control, hehe.)

Thanks for your review and opinion! ^_^

Unique feel.

This has a unique feel given you are trying to represent flight with so many toms. Unique, because toms usually are tribal and "heavy" Interesting sounds and nice bass sequence.

jnry3 responds:

Thanks for the review and insight! ^_^

Great job!

It's a very relaxing piece I could listen to over and over again.

The reason I gave you a 9 is because I think the piano is too soft. The piano seems to be the melody of the piece, and I think it is a bit difficult to hear.

Otherwise, NICE JOB.

SERIOUSLY.

jnry3 responds:

Thanks man!

Hmm... okay, although I find the piano to be at the right level. ^_^ Check the right channel of your sound system.

Well,

I really like it. The only thing I dislike is the sharp, cutting treble channel. The cymbal hits don't help that, as every real impact carries a slightly stinging high hit.

Melodically, and in the robot-y bass interludes carried on a cloud by piano melodies and catchy set rhythms make for a nearly perfect song that's easy to fall in love with, especially with your play between piano and guitar near the end.

Fived and Faved. Lovely, sir.

jnry3 responds:

Thanks, Hyper-Freak92! ^_^ (Sorry for the late response, by the way.)
