Standoff is a highscore-based web browser game that pits the player against an endless number of mobsters in surprisingly calm and collected gun fights. Outwit the enemy to survive!

Standoff was the result of a week-long game jam that we did way back in September 2013, when we first got together to make games. We delayed releasing it because we were not satisfied with the gameplay. We decided to put it up now as a way to get advice from the gaming community.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely functional. I have to say you really put a lot of effort into the aesthetics. There's a tangible feel to the world in the design and music. Good on that, but the gameplay needs work. There's no point to shooting directly to the right, at all. The time is about the same to recover, and you leave yourself open to both sides of the bullets. Also, I would have put a heal after the bosses, but that's a personal preference, you seem to be going for an outlasting sort of game. Respect for that. Overall, half your attack options need a little work, otherwise it's just shoot and hide.
Still a decent game though.

Cool game, simple but fun.
the algorythms are a bit too simple though. I had no problems hitting the targets and I would make it to the top rank but it started to get boring as it is just repeating. Maybe add different boss levels?

surprisingly addicting, i kept trying to get high score, but then i realized that'd take much longer than what i planned to get, so good job you high scorers, and congratulations if you manage to get it after that guy who's currently first

i think there should be more frames vulnerable to a high shot when the character comes out to fire the low shot, so if the high shot gets put out first it will hit the low shot as its coming out
