Changelog (version 1.1f)
- HARD MODE ADDED - PLAY 30 LEVELS AND WIN - that's right - hard mode starts you near the end against the toughest bosses
- added a Hard Mode for players wanting a challenge (at least I hope this seems challenging! It's hard for me - that's for sure! HA!)
- added a NEW FREE HAT called 'WAY TOO EASY' which makes the game hard (you have less health, take more damage, earn less money) for those players who want a SLIGHTLY extra challenge.
- If you're having problems you might want to clear your browser cache due to recent updates, not a guarantee but it might help clear out old version nonsense
- Love you all! I will do what I can to make this game fun for you! (duh duh DUNNN)

Although this game isn't terrible by all means, it is too easy and apparently boring. The bosses are randomized, but the random features each boss receives are rather bland, and does little to transform how each level plays. None of the enemies really stuck out as unique, they all have a saucer-shape that makes them look too similar visually.
The controlling of the player isn't fun, he goes far to slow for my liking. A boss would be charging towards me, but there would be nothing I could do because of the lackluster speed of the protagonist. The gun also shoots at a very slow pace, although upgrades allow you to change that slightly.
Each level is pretty much the same every time. The bosses are generally the same, and upgrading the player's weapon only barely alters the game play. These are some contributing factors to why I don't really enjoy this game.
I could however control the player easily, and I can't recall any technical issues. You have real potential to create a great game, but this is not a good example of that.

great game but laggy when many things are on the screen (enemies lasers..) and glitchy at times too.

I hear yah man. There are a few bugs in there but I appreciate the play!! We're working on a PC based sequel at the moment and I think you'll really like the way it's coming along. There are a TON of new things (more guns, more bosses, more gameplay modes). Check it out on my blog here if you like! Thanks again for playing! Best, -Tim

Finished the game. It was awesome. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the under-developed character we played. I would be happier if I could choose from different guns for example, or if there was a bit more decision making involved when purchasing upgrades. Also, boss fights did get repetitive after a while and I would suggest that in the sequel, the different weapons, heads, bodies etc. that bosses have will greatly change the tactics against bosses. One thing I must point out that I really enjoyed were the dialogs. Nonetheless, this game is definitely a 5 starer.
p.s. sorry if I had grammar mistakes

Great stuff and yah - I think you will be VERY happy with the way we are shaping up the sequel! it has a lot of what you are talking about and more. More weapons (that matter) and more strategy in the boss fighter. We're keeping the humor intact though! Check out my blog here for updates!

One of the best flash games I've played in a long time!

My only aggravation was getting "Bohemian Rhapsody" stuck in my
head after seeing the dialog about it haha.

Can't wait for "Boss 102" or "Boss 201", whichever it is.

Enjoyed it! Funny dialogue & easy to catch on to the game. Pity I can't really enjoy it to the fullest because I'm running a crappy outdated computer and so I lag whenever bullets appear and I died particularly often when I had to fight a cat-launching shuriken-throwing gas minion boss, but I managed to finish campaign anyway. I do have a few issues though:

1) Weapon powerup balance is pretty off. Fists is hands down the best(perhaps better than ultimate gun even). Money shot is pretty okay on its own but its great for earning extra cash as well. The laser and bazooka however, are very prohibitive in their rate of fire/projectile speed and their damage doesn't seem to scale according to a player's upgrades, so at higher levels you'd notice that their DPS is in fact much lower than your standard gun.

2) Interface/Menu issues. There's a lot clicking(getting to boss fight) and scrolling(costume), which gets a little annoying after a while. Also can't really tell if I've already pressed Z in a messy fight since the powerup icon is still there while active rather than change colour to show its being used. There's also the credits; I know it repeats, but I can't decide which one to read first and I end up having to waste my time pressing spacebar to repeat, only to accidentally skip a message I had missed earlier. Its kinda annoying.

3) I love to read the pre-boss dialogue, but what bothered me is that some of them are just 1 line, so when I press spacebar expecting a witty retort the boss battle just starts immediately. I think this can be mitigated if the dialogue box indicates which message is the last one before battle starts.

4) The game does get repetitive somewhere around the 40th level for me; the bosses are usually the same few. The final boss was honestly a bit of an anti-climax since he's basically the same as the regular bosses except I need to figure out that his hitbox is in his stomach.

I hope you'd improve on these shortcomings, this can be a really addictive game!
