My latest homage to that ol' grey tub of nerdjoy. This is basically just a little tribute to all those hard as nails action platformers we all know from the NES era. Finished the game in about a week, however I held off uploading to Newgrounds because of the Halloweeny stuff. In that time I actually made an extra hardcore level. Mhaha.

It's hard, it's unforgiving, it's 8-bit. Get used to it. I've even put up a little disclaimer just in case you can't handle it. If this is the case, go play the latest COD game or something.

Blast through six levels, (30+ "blocks/areas") collect retro power ups, unlock medals and upload your high scores to Newgrounds!

The controls can be changed in the OPTIONS menu. Default they be:

L/R Arrows: Move
A: Fire
S: Jump
+/- Keys: Change Volume
Enter: Start/Pause

Hope you enjoy it, it was a blast to make :P.

This game could be great, the only real problem are the jumps. The jumping is really clunky and not intuitive. Try to get across a pit but I didn't make it so many time because of that. It makes level 3 pretty much impossible. The game has great potential. If it just controlled better in parts, the regular difficulty is not too bad if you are patient. It is the fake difficulty from the bad jumping controls that hinder it.
