Thanks for the frontpage Tom, apologies for all the updates!

Update: I updated the game (again) to solve some of the issues people have reported. If you see 'version 2.3' in the bottom right of the preloader you're playing the latest version. Note that it might take a while before the new version gets approved. Start a new game to ensure you're not loading old, possibly corrupted, data.

If the game slows down, try restarting your browser, I'm looking for a more permanent fix.

Hi, welcome to Rubato Hills! Shortly you'll embark on an epic journey which will eventually see you become the wealthiest and happiest citizen in town! Well, either that or you'll fail miserably and end up in the gutter, selling your kidney and a lung to make it through another week. The recordshop business is not an easy one, you see. There are lots of factors you need to keep in mind, lots of variables you need to change based on your customers, your store, events in town, the list goes on.

Should you have what it takes you'll have a good time though! There are multiple properties you can buy and outfit with new objects to attract more and richer customers. There are lots of opportunities and possibilities to expand your business in Rubato Hills. Good luck and have fun!

This has been the biggest project I've ever undertaken. I started messing around with the idea of making a tycoon game back in november last year :O So I'm glad it's finally finished, hope you enjoy! Oh and by the way, there are 3 leaderboards in the game, after 25, 50 and 100 days, and your progress is saved automatically after every day. So if you need a break don't be afraid you'll lose your progress if you quit the game. Medals should be coming soonish.

I've had a lot of help from users from Newgrounds with testing the game. Thanks again funkycaveman, q13qew, wolffreak, ArthuruhtrA, inylq, DETHman666, TheDarkJuggla, gasattack23, doondeka, devaca and all the other people I forgot to mention (send me a pm).

Alright, made it to day 100. I obviously liked the game, gonna check and see if you ever did make a sequel, I know this is pretty old.
9,693 CD's sold, $218,885 cumulative net result and I finished the game with $62,793.10
Just in case anyone wanted to compare for fun. Made 62k in 100 days, I can handle that.
Wish you didn't have to worry about property tax, customer service complaints, stolen product or even having to hire any employees in real life. :P

I played through the entire game to the end, I gotta say this is a really amazing flash game. The only thing I would change is I would add more powerful random events. The events that exist are cool but they aren't detrimental enough. Have a pipe burst and flood the store destroying all inventory etc. but, you could previously buy insurance or something like this. Make me feel like life has down days... Anywho thanks for the game it was awesome ^_^

The game's fun but I got a glitch where the day wouldn't end because a customer stood in the doorway eternally. So, it's fun as long as you don't run into the glitch.
