The Bastard Game

This is based off of the trendy maze games, except that the cursor you use deceives you! You can choose to play with a fake cursor or no cursor at all. See how high of a score you can rack up using both!

Don't click, right-click, or hit the Ctrl button while playing; it resets your score!

u know what i think its like boring dieria.

Kwing responds:

Boring diarrhea which, according to you, is worth 5/5!

Got it.

Got 1000 points. Yay!!!

Kwing responds:

You're full of shit.

I agree

The guy below me made all the obvious points about the flaws in this game, so there's not really much for me to say, other than you tried your hardest and overall, it wasn't complete crap. You don't win the internet for the week, but you aren't the laughing stock of it either. Good Job on not horribly failing!

Kwing responds:

:P Err, thanks.

Well, it is indeed a bastard

I'll give you a 6, because that was my highest score in this damn game. Not sure if I really like the idea of losing control of my mouse really...I mean maybe, but not like this. When you're getting a high score in a game, it's good to know that you're skilled. When you play a game like this, it's just pure luck. The cursor is an asshole and you can't really tell where you are. The best technique I found so far was to just haul ass. When I stopped caring and just flew across the map is when I got up to 6. Slow and steady just doesn't seem to win this race.

The other game mode, hiding the cursor completely, is just next to impossible. I tried for all of about 30 seconds and it's just way too big of a pain in the ass.

My main problem with this game is that it's just way harder than a game this simple needs to be, not to mention not all that rewarding. Maybe if there was a submit score option and a high score table I could see...

I guess there's not really much else to review. Not really graphically pleasing, no music, no sounds...just a simple bastard game plain and simple.

Kwing responds:

I really like your criticisms here. The game could definitely use a difficulty curve. Perhaps making the screen a bit larger so you had a wider space to move would have been a better idea, although I don't think the invisible cursor mode is that bad if you get into the swing of it. But a highscore board is definitely in order. My cousin got up to 9 on this, and I think 5 or 6 is the highest I've gotten, if you would like a frame of reference.

Wow, what a complete bastard

Well, that's a decent game, that I never really liked, as it got going with a decent streak and the way that you overlaid the dummy run, so that you hit the sides and have to start again. It's a nice little quirk, nothing more.

I think that the main issue with it all is the way that the rest of the layout was messed up, because of this overlay - I couldn't come down to write a review, or even close the damned game itself to help me - work with the programming to smooth things out is required.

Kwing responds:

You mean the mouse kept vanishing? I set it up so the cursor is always invisible, and the only way I could set it up so the cursor reappeared if it was outside the Flash screen would be if I used AS3, which I can't use with my version of Flash. Furthermore, you could cheat if I implemented that feature.
