Once upon a time there was a great magical performer who entertained crowds with his tricks and illusions.

But when the one he loved died, he stopped performing and lost the will to live...

...until one night he had a dream...

Good, but...

I'll agree with what has been said before. It's a great game, and I do appreciate the simple type of kinda storyish-based flash game. However, if that was the goal, I think the game was indeed too frustrating. The lack of checkpoints was annoying, of course, but I was more irked by the constant sound of him transforming / dying. That explody sound began to annoy the hell out of me. Not that platforming is bad, but honestly, I felt it detracted from the "story" (I don't know why everyone seems to think that this game had a true story). I also found it odd that the puzzle aspects at the beginning and the more straight platforming at the end weren't connected better. The gameplay jump stylistically was really sudden.

Overall, I liked the game. I would have preferred the game to be longer, because I felt that the story or the message or lesson just left way too much unsaid and unexplored. The music was good, but again that annoying sound began to grate after a while.

I love it.

The poem and storyline is beautiful, the art and music is amazing, and fits very well with the game...
But it could be a tad longer.

This game had an excellent meaning in it. The artwork was good and the graphics were great. The jumping ability was a burden though. In the last level I found myself cursing at the inabililty to correctly jump over the many piles of fire, but I'll accept that as "the difficulty in overcoming inner demons". And personally I was hoping that changing into the fox could help in some way, but I guess that the fox can only pose a threat the the other creatures you can turn into (feel free to correct me on that if I'm wrong).

Altogether, I enjoyed the "simple yet deep" meaning in this game. I rate this 4/5 and 8/10.

I like the idea I can honestly say I have not seen it before. Well except from donkey kong country from the DS and the gameboy advanced era. Though it is nice to see the ability to take an animals form and changing really is nice to see again. I like it all round though the puzzles could be a bit more difficult . Though I do give you kudos on this idea.
