Wow. This took a while. You'll see what you mean when you see how much detail i've put into this and how many frames. My proudest work to date. This covers:

Movement
Gravity
Floors
Doors
Walls
Enemy AI
Attacks
Health And Items/Powerups.

Sorry about being weak in enemy AI, i'm not very smart in it :P. Right click for options, and enjoy - I put a lot of work into this :)

EDIT: Added Flash API - be sure to click the ad for me ;D. I like moneh :D.

"That was an amazing tutorial"

I thought this one was explained well. It really solved a lot of problems i was having with jumping. I knew how to do other things.

For beginners, it is up to them to get used to the Flash interface and such. The code was broken down step by step.

It does force you to think. I like that.

"couldn't understand any of it"

WAY too complicated. people need a tutorial if they have never done this type of stuff before, and especially people like me who have no idea about flash. needs to be explained a lot better, because i had no idea how to name the instance 'ground' in the first place.
